From high-end brands like Burberry to Nike, along with many local and international stores offering big discounts. As a visitor and first-timer, the mall was a little confusing to navigate at first, but it's very convenient since it's directly connected to the Tung Chung station. There are also restaurants and additional shops outside of the mall area, which gives the area a lively atmosphere. Both the Novotel Citygate Hong Kong and The Silveri Hong Kong hotels are attached, making it super convenient for travelers. One thing about Hong Kong, there are lots of shopping malls. This one I wasn't too impressed with.

I ordered the Tofu and mushroom salad, Thai Chicken skewers, Thai Wings and a strawberry and guava smoothie. The food had amazing flavor and was delicious. Of the dishes the Tofu salad was the best. The Tofu was seasoned and cooked perfectly as were the mushrooms. The portions were large enough and priced accordingly. It's definitely a place I'd recommend when visiting Hong Kong if you're looking to kill a little time before your flight.

There are a lot of empty storefronts and even floors. The attempts that they make to get more people in actually make it seem sadder because there are so few people there in the first place so the bouncy houses, or trains they put for special occasions makes it seem somehow lonelier. I come here a lot for the cinema and that's about it.

I've gone to this plaza on numerous occasions, the first couple of times because it was new, exciting and billed up to DBs next best thing. It wasn't, and it still isn't. Yes, it's nice, there are a few cool shops, some different restaurants and great strolling path along the waterfront - hold on, that sounds exactly the same as the current plaza! I understand the convenience for the residents living in that area, and the need to expand but at least change it up a bit. It's just a differently dressed Db Plaza. They did try and make it unique by providing a horse and cart activity (or used to, not sure it lasted long), and it's conveniently located next door to the Auberge hotel. There a couple of spots that I enjoy about the North Plaza and they are the astroturf sports field and the Welcome. Yes, a supermarket that has finally stood up to the overpriced Fusion in the original plaza. The sports field is a great addition because it means there's finally a place to play sports that isn't fully booked by a school or football players! I'll go down most Thursday nights, when I'm in the area, and play an intense game of touch rugby. Apart from the field and supermarket there are a couple of good restaurants - Mirch Masala, and a Brazilian one - that make a trip worthwhile once a month or so. To me it just seems too much like a mini, fake, Disney Land catering more for tourists than the actual residents of the community.

I was not that hungry when I came, so I couldn't indulge in as many foods as I wanted to. If I had more stomach space, I would have definitely fit in some of the many bevs on offer and maybe even ice cream. But they don't only have food. They also sell random products that you could typically find in residential HK malls like clothes, accessories, cute merch, etc. I found some really adorable Sanrio red envelopes here! This place is kind of like a maze and it's easy to get lost in. My sister and I separated here and we ended up going home without the other because that was easier than trying to find each other again. The third floor has some benches circling the escalators area, but they're usually all taken. I was really tired from walking, and I would've stayed longer if I was able to sit and rest for a small break. The one star off is for the lack of sitting areas, confusing layout, and honestly could use a facelift. I would come back again to do a proper food crawl, but I'll probably bring my portable chair.
