He called me back and told me that the leak was coming from the oil filter housing. He said he had to replace the gasket and it will cost me $260.00. I agree with him to go ahead and fix the problem. I picked my truck up the next morning. That same day I called him and told him my truck was still leaking. I took it back and he changed the oil filter I left his shop and after a few hours I noticed the truck was still leaking. Once again, I brought my truck back to Ernest. So one of his mechanics/helper got under the truck and right away he told me that the leak was coming from the timing chain cover and it will cost me $1,100.00 to fix. So I paid Bayou Automotive $260.95 for a problem that they did not fix. He couldn't show me the old gasket that he took off. I will never recommend Bayou Automotive to anyone. He didn't offer me a dime of my money back or an explanation of why he didn't fix or tell me about the actual problem to begin with.

I brought my car in yesterday to have the air conditioner serviced and I get a call saying my brakes rotors and calipers need replacing and the serpentine belt and pully system as well. I said ok do the work it is what it is. $1900 later I walked out the door at closing time after being there since 8am. Being there that long I assumed the work was done and done well. Skip to today. I drove my car from Mandeville to Slidell and from Slidell to Gretna and then traveling home I was driving in NOLAEAST and I hear something fall from my car and by the time I get to the twin span my breaks were nearly gone. I was able to get it to the Firestone by the grace of God and they put it on the lift and the caliper bolt is what I lost. They ended up replacing the front rotors and breaks again and I'm back on the road. I called the Mandeville store and RONNIE acts like oh well. He said I'm sorry but it happens sometimes. WHAT THE HECK??? IT HAPPENS SOMETIME!!!! I told him when you are playing around with peoples brakes you are playing with peoples lives and that didn't even seem to phase him. That whole situation could have ended up really bad but hey, it happens sometimes. Didn't offer me an any kind of money back for my troubles or any kind of future service at their cost. I towed it to them and they said that a hose, which is part of the fuel pump and replaced already, was broken. They charged me an additional $115 for the diagnostic, $175 for labor, and $8.00 for the hose. Their parts and labor is guaranteed for 90 days. Avoid this place at all costs.
