This is absolutely the WORST company out there. You read stories about moving companies quoting you one figure then getting your stuff in their possession and then demanding "additional fees" to release your goods....THIS IS ONE ON THEM! Rudest people I have ever met! Direct quote from owner: "For $75 more dollars all your troubles go away!" Unbelievable extortionists! Would recommend a truckload of monkeys before these guys! I would bet any decent review they have is by someone related or "staged"! They contract for RecDirect spas....hire someone else for your own welfare! Think I'm just a disgruntled customer? Do a BBB search to see for yourself....they HAVE AN "F" rating...NOT accredited! As of this post they have 3 outstanding unresolved complaints (SOON TO BE 4)......do yourself a favor and do the research yourself! SEARCH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU Major hint: Any business that asks for cash up front and a signature is NOT normal business. What Raymond didn't realize when he was arguing this and "Industry Insider" info was that I worked in this industry while in/ and just out of college so when I called "Bullshit" (literally) he got ruffled. An old fraternity brother managed a upstart moving company that is now in five major cities in as many states. The reason they want a signature upfront is to protect their insurance premiums. The company will likely reimburse small breakage items but have your signature (small print) that says you accepted shipment so they'll contest large breakage as not their responsibility to save claims. Cash only business have the implication of unreported income. tax evasion for federal and state sales taxes. My friends suggest that I reach out to see if anyone has similar experiences and to gather past/present paperwork from past customers. (It will save their investigators some legwork and give them a good starting point to cross reference business records). If you can be of assistance please call or FB me as I will be collecting info. Also, you have to realize I had my cell phone on after right after you balked about my unwillingness to sign beforehand so there is a digital record, video and auditory of all that transpired. So whereas I might not have a physical paper receipt I do have a record of payment. You were given a chance to make this right but chose to fail. Do you realize how many "review sites" there are? You have my number above. You have one final chance to make this go away. The sites I have posted to so far I can go back and delete but if I hit the button to send my BBB draft I cannot delete that and will not delete these unless you meet my terms for remediation. Monday night when I get home from work is when I'll lodge my BBB complaint. Here's your problem now....shit storms can be forecast, but you never know exactly when they'll hit. All I have to do is wait to get responses from others before I call my friends back at the IRS.... In the meantime anyone that does their homework and does their research will see these postings. I truly can not say enough great things about this moving company! Raymond personally called me the day of the move, a few hours earlier than we were quoted but it was a pleasant surprise because we were happy to get things going. Although we needed a little more time personally to get some last minute things wrapped up, Raymond told me to just call when we were ready! Once the guys got there, they were amazing!! They hustled and got the job of moving a large 4 bedroom house packed and unpacked in about 2 hours! They put up our beds and many times asked if there was anything else they could do to help! Everyone of the guys were polite, friendly and respectful! We highly recommend this moving company and will use them again if we ever move again!!! 5 stars guys!!! read more

This is the first move I have done where I hired a company to do the heavy lifting. The guys called me about an hour before arriving to let me know they were on the way. When they arrived they immediately took a tour of the home and got to it. I was surprised at how quick and efficient the guys were. In a business where service is paid by the hour you would think the guys would take their time. Not these. I have never seen a truck packed so quickly and well. Every piece of furniture was protected and handled with care. From the time they arrived until the last piece of furniture was unloaded at the new house was four and half hours. I couldn't believe it. Worth every penny! If I move again I will definitely be using this company. read more

I had a lot of fragile glassware and glass furniture that needed to be moved across town and considering my experience in the past with other moving companies, I was hesitant on hiring another one. D and R movers was completely different though. They handled my boxes with care and I did not even have to tell them that there were fragile things in the boxes. Once the move was complete, I took a look at my glassware and furniture and was pleased to see that none of the glass was broken. None of the glass was even scratched. I was pleasantly surprised. I've actually moved twice with D&R. Once from a 2 bedroom Apartment on the 3rd floor to a 2 story condo. Then from the condo to 3 bedroom house. Only took about 2 hours each time and the guys really moved quickly. Both times it was $200 or less! (Then added a tip of course). I will never move without them again. Think about $200 in 2 hours vs. renting a u-haul, throwing out your back, and having a few of your friends bang up your walls and furniture while fulfilling the worst friend obligation ever! These guys were amazing! I really wasn't sure about them at first but they blew me away!! I was moving 40 minutes away and the drive time was going to cost me. They emptied my apartment in under an hour. They made sure that everything that was being moved got in that truck. Upon arrival at the new place, they unpacked even quicker and made sure that all items were where I wanted them. Everything was intact. Ive been using D&R movers for over 10 years for moving and most recently I used them about 2 months ago when I purchased a new house. I have always had a good experience with them. The pricing is VERY reasonable, they have always been on time and gotten the moving done way quicker than I expected them to. They are always very friendly as well. Ive had a few knicks here and there on furniture/walls but nothing to get too upset over as I probably would've done a worse job if I did it myself. They moved me from a first floor apartment to a third floor apartment (which is why I hired movers) I had pretty much stuff to. They didn't break a thing and my new walls still look like new. First let me say they were late by an 1 1/2 hours. But the way they moved me TRUELY, TRUELY made up for the lateness. These guys are AMAZING!!! D and R Movers was the greatest move company I have ever used. Asked for 2 guys but because they were running late, after the prior move had more furniture than they said, they sent me three movers. Wow! Totally courteous, nice uniformed movers who took great care to protect my property from damage. They came highly recommended and lived up to the promise. These guys have moved us twice now. Once in to temporary housing and a large storage unit and once out of temp housing & storage unit. We had two different 4-man crews and both did a spectacular job. They moved us into a 5 bdrm home (with stuff from two locations) in five hours. While I never want to move again, I would if these guys were helping us again! I scheduled my move today. The office customer service was great. They explained all the prices with me, which was very easy to understand. There prices are displayed right on the side of their trucks. No deposit was required to schedule my move. Also they told me if I need to change the day and or time of my move that there is no charge. I am buying a house and I wasn't 100% sure of my closing date. read more

These guys moved us this past week! They were very considerate and helpful. We moved to a home with hardwood floors and they were very helpful making sure all the furniture had pads underneath. They ended up having to take the ping pong table apart to get it out of the old house, but no grumbling! Then put it back together in the new house!
