I came down from Atlanta, Ga. to Port Charlotte for a quick weekend visit to my sister's house. On…read morethe way down (550 mi.) and after just having new tires put on it, our 2000 Toyota 4Runner begun to have a very severe vibration. Thinking it was a transmission problem and fearing a new transmission cost, I took it a nationally advertised transmission company. It was 4:30 on a Friday afternoon, the ad stated open till 5:30pm. When I arrived, it was closed tighter than a drum. Another car service center in that same shopping center was kind enough to take a look at it, even though it was closing time. They diagnosed the problem, but were not open on the weekend and recommended Tom Joyce Auto Repair Shop, said that shop was open on Saturday even called and left msg on answering machine. I took the car at 0745 for the opening time of 0800. The one and only mechanic said he had lots of work already scheduled and closed at 1230 on Saturday, but he would try to take a look. I told him my situation, and that I needed to be back to work on Monday, he said he do what he could, I left the car. I feared the worst! He called me back at almost five o clock, told me that it was just a universal joint, which he replaced for what I considered a very reasonable price. I'm sorry I don't remember his name, but this man went well above and beyond his duty to service me and well past closing time, and I would recommend this repair shop to anyone! On Sunday, we made it home on time, 8 hours drive later, and had no more issues. Now that's service! Len Sea, Atlanta, Ga.

Excellent and Very Professional Company!…read more My experience at Lifted Rippers was truly Amazing from start to finish because of a very caring staff and treated me better than family. I started with Katie, who coordinated my diagnostic with Jake and my entire schedule for a complete 3.5 Rock Krawler lift with FOX PERFORMANCE SERIES 2.5 IFP HTO SHOCKS along with a Synergy Jeep JL / JLU HD Steering Kit W/ Synergy Tuned Fox IFP Stabilizer. Kamaya who helped bring things together for the build. Matthew who did the entire Lift Kit installation with accuracy and attention to detail and made sure everything was torqued to spec's and for safe driving. When I test drove my Jeep the ride was perfect, smooth and balanced. I Highly recommend Lifted Rippers and the Owner's Mariah and Josh who put that team together and they will help you get the build and look you want for your ride or if you already have a lift go in and get your lift retorqued and your parts checked to make sure everything is safe. You will be glad you did. Thanks Again Lifted Rippers for an Amazing Experience !

I scheduled an appointment for a basic oil change and tire check (rotation if needed)…read more After the work was done, I was told my vehicle was ready and the tires were good. The final bill was tallied: $104, which I thought was a lot, but I assumed it was the 3.5% up-charge for paying be credit card (which I did know about, but forgot to bring cash). I said something about the cost and that's when I was told the license plate bulb had burned out and had been replaced. No one said anything before changing it, no one asked me if I wanted it changed, and frankly I didn't. When I responded exactly that (you didn't tell or ask me) the reply was: "But you'll get pulled over for that." Bullshit, I say. Truth is I was told that light was out the last time I had the oil changed, and I declined replacing it then. That was 4 months ago, one major drive trip to FL's east coast and back, and not a single siren in my rearview. What's really bothering me is that I finally looked at the itemized bill when I got home: $14.99 for a flippin' light bulb. (Which, I don't doubt, I could get for half, or maybe 3/4s, of that at an auto parts store.) Maybe it's a good thing they changed it b/c I forgot to do it when I was first told it was out last oil change. But that's not the point. Bottom line: request your Customer's permission before doing an add-on. Period.
