My family absolutely loves this little neighborhood creamery / cheesemonger. It is our go-to place…read morefor nice cheeses for special occasions. One of our favorite cheeses to get is a very aged comté, as they go up to 36 months which is quite old. But they have a very wide selection of anything you might want, and can slice to order.
In addition to cheese, the creamery offers savory food such as quiches, cheese sandwiches, a vegetarian tourte, and soup (depending on the day). The quiche slices are quite thick and can be reheated in the microwave (although the preference is that they be reheated in the oven to preserve the texture). They also offer wonderful desserts that you don't see in a lot of other French bakeries, such as cheesecake (nature and pistachio flavors), pecan pie, and carrot cake. The carrot cake is my favorite of their desserts, with a lovely creamy cream cheese frosting. While the cakes are served by the slice usually, it is possible to preorder a whole cake, which we did recently for a birthday party, with about 72 hours' notice minimum.
The employees here are super friendly, they always remember us and ask us how we and the family are doing. I have usually gotten take-out from here but they have a small seating area inside as well as some outdoor seating when the weather permits. Their offerings are not cheap by any means, but the prices are reasonable given the quality. The shop is located in a cute part of the Batignolles neighborhood, surrounded by other small shops and a short walk from 2 nearby parks. American Express accepted.
