A plethora of pamphlets, no lack of leaflets, bundles of brochures and an overall wealth of information on all six counties, toys, souvenirs, local books, Irish gifts (leprechauns and all that), linenware...and a wet floor. Yes, you heard correctly. A damp, slippery, sopping wet floor. It was actually more welcoming than the staff, greeting us as we first stepped through the door. As I dandered across the dampness, I apologised to the lady who was cleaning, and got a frank reply of "oh darn, I should've put that sign up". Eh, well, no problem...? After a nosey around a practical and effectual shop, with plenty to look at and buy, I noted that she had cordoned off a section near the way we had come in, and so a slight detour was required. Sorry for messing up your lovely clean floors lady.

We found it a real refuge after being nearly blown off the cliffs by fierce winds and we were able to get some tea there as well! We were particularly impressed by the excellent relief map which is ideal for visually impaired people to feel and get a clear impression of the geography of the area. Outside there are marvellous views of the lighthouse and out to sea, across to Ireland, the Isle of Man, and Cumbria in England. There's a RSPB Nature Reserve to see too.

Thomson required them to pay their deposit in cash and it had to be paid directly to this branch. Living in Enniskillen this proved problematic for the boys, therefore I suggested that I'd bring up their money and pay it for them. My first impression of this branch was excellent as it was really well laid out and I didn't have long to wait to be seen at all. Whilst I was waiting though I took the opportunity to browse through their brochures and I was really surprised at how cheap some of their holidays were. The deals were what I was drawn to first and if you are looking for a holiday, they have some great deals. I was then called by a more than helpful lady. She immediately sorted the deposits out and gave me receipts for the boys. The boys said the holiday was fantastic and that Thomson were more than accommodating for them. I think I'll use this company next year when booking my Summer holiday.

That was a very exuberant start to this review but still, the reason is this is where myself and my girlfriend found our trip to New York last February. We had been browsing through the multitude of holiday comparison sites for hotels and flight combinations. It seemed booking with Aer Lingus was the cheapest way to go, via Dublin airport. But alas, as prices soared closer to pay day it was looking less and less likely that we were going to be able to afford a trip away so soon. It took my girlfriend to walk past the store in Caste Court to find the bargain of the century, oddly leaving and returning on the exact dates we had planned. It included direct flights with Continental airlines from Belfast to Newark airport and three nights in a four star hotel just beside Central Park for....£410 each... a fantastic price if I must say., The whole thing went extremely smoothly, booked on the phone before calling down to collect a few documents. Highly recommend.

There's something for every pocket from cheap key rings and fridge magnets to books, fine china and linen. A great range of confectionery too. Very easy to find right beside the harbour with a free car park on two sides with plenty of spaces.

Staff are extremely helpful, as you would expect them to be, but nonetheless they are probably sick being asked where Paul McCartney lives.It also sells tickets to various events in the area check with the centre what is available for sale at any given time . Young pipers from the school pipe bands play outside the front door in the summer on certain days of the week. A treat if thats what you like, a nightmare if you don't

Tourist information offices abound in every city but they are only as good as the people working in…read morethem. The Derry Tourist Office is one of the best I have visited. The young lady behind the counter, a budding Goth I believe, was so obliging, friendly and smiley. Shows, never judge a book by its cover. She had us sorted in no time with a free city map with all the attractions she had circled. Yes, I said free. Elsewhere we had paid £1.50 for a similar map but I won't say where except it was a map of Oxford LOL. Derry Information Office you have done your wonderful city, PROUD. Thank you.

The guide, Bobby, was so friendly and helpful, he was very informative and open to questions. This is a very slick service, probably because they have been doing it for so many years. I wouldn't hesitate to use Travel Solutions again for another football trip.
