Czarcia Łapa is an absolutely lovely, elegant restaurant in the Old Town of Lublin. This is a perfect place for a delicious meal in an elegant setting. The prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. With two glasses of white wine, we ordered a spinach and pear salad to start and share which was massive and delicious. Then we had pasta dishes of fresh spinach and ricotta ravioli and spaghetti with tomatoes and shrimp. Everything was very yummy and very worth the price. There is a blind piano player here who plays each night and he is very talented. So the restaurant is quiet and peaceful with piano playing in the background. Actually not even worth a star BUT we talked with the manager which invited us for dessert because of our concerns. We choose the local as one of us has been to this location years ago. Actually not sure if the whole concept changed, the name of the local is the same. BUT the furniture - style - menu was different. About our dinner - we showed up late - it wasn't busy at all. We could choose our seats. We've got the card which was just one huge card - not handy. Difficult to choose as mainly very, very small variety for vegetarians. After getting our drinks we were ready to order appetizer & also main dishes. We've waited 45min!!! for the appetizer in an empty local but with way too much waiter hanging around the bar or eating. After getting the appetizer we've mentioned our main dishes to be served asap. BUT regretful the food came 90min after ordering. It wasn't really tasteful! My pizza which was one of the few dishes suitable for vegetarians was not good at all (picture). We've mentioned our discomfort 4-times to the waiter getting at the end next to laughing a comment to come down! After this we wanted to talk to the manager or person in charge asking again 3-times. After manager came over being open for our concerns - she made some huge mistakes trying to explain and telling she saw our food coming earlier - what wasn't right! And for sure not the right time talking about it. Also our concerns about the dirty toilet - no toilet paper- broken water-tap & broken handdryer after 30min nothing changed. She invited us for a dessert. Right now the only positive thing I can say about the local is the dessert. read more

If you ever visit Lublin, this is a place for lunch or dinner. Fabulous food and atmosphere. The place has nice decor and looks rather upscale so we were not sure if we can come with.kids. They greeted us and ivvited in, offered a help of the babysitter on staff. Also the live piano guy did a great job. The best part was of course the feed. The pork with prosciutto, spinach and dumplings was my favourite. You also have to try their soup of "tropinamber" which is a very delicate creme of specially grown sunflower. A rare delicacy. We did not stay for desert but will be sure to do that next time we vissit. read more

Great choice for a nice dinner in Lublin. They definitely have Italian inspiration, but it an international menu and wine card. I got their tasty duck carpaccio with truffle oil, nice! It even had a twist of molecular gastronomy with some foam stuff on it :-) For main course, I had their tender t-bone with grilled tomatoes. Try their costamolino from Argiolas it you are up for a white wine. read more

Stopped here for dinner on Wednesday May 13th night around 9:45 PM with my girlfriend and her 8 year old son. The place is very nicely decorated good atmosphere and the food is great, we got Fettuccine with pesto, Spaghetti Bolognese and Penne with broccoli and beacon. Our family of over 10,had a special experience at this wonderful restaurant! The 4 course meal was exceptional, with everyone served quickly and promptly. The room was spacious, but quiet, with plenty of opportunity for cross table chatter. The next day, we experienced the lunch special for only 9 zloty! A soup and second course! I highly recommend you visit Czarcia Lapa during your next visit to Lublin. You will not be disappointed! read more
