I love this place!…read more I was recommended by the tourist info centre and was glad I made the visit, as now everytime I visit Chesterfield be it with friends or family, this is my number one for snacks, lunch and especially the desserts :D. As I go there as my regular outlet, I have spoken to many customers and observed as the staff cater to everyones needs, be it coeliacs, vegetarians and even vegans. The food has fantastic presentation and such high standards are kept even when very busy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. All food is freshly made (and you can tell) and the coffees are exceptional, freshly ground, and prepared to your order. The staff are keen to help with any special requests or dietary requirements and will cater to your needs and substitute any dislikes in order to make you entirely satisfied with your meal, beverage and overall experience. I would recommend Stephensons to anybody, as they never fail to make your visit pleasant and enjoyable.

Great atmosphere and lovely, light rooms that are nicely decorated. Only slight issue is that its up several flights of stairs (a very impressive staircase though!) so if someone had mobility problems, they might find it tricky. Otherwise, I couldn't fault it!

But here it did and the chap who brought my coffee over confirmed it, which was kind. The coffee was good, the ambience laid back and the feeling was of a haven from a bustling street and city. Eventually, I left my regal armchair to get back and on. This café sets a fine standard for competitors to meet.

The first thing you'll notice on entering is the 50/60's music and a sign saying wait to be seated and a lovely old fashioned test your personality machine. What can I say they do burgers, wraps, hot dogs, chilli and all day US breakfasts. I had my first ever Chilli Cheese Dog, which is a hot dog with chilli con carne on it and I said hold the cheese, he didn't look offended and I got a excellent meal not ruined by the devil which is cheese and I loved it. Others with me had Wraps and Hot Dogs none of us had any complains about the food, but we did find ourselves wanting to get on with our journey.

They sell sandwiches, jackets, paninis and daily specials - all the things you get in a decent cafe. It's quite upmarket, and gets quite busy at times so you can ring to reserve a table, and many people do. Despite that, it's not particularly expensive - fairly average prices for a decent coffee shop. There isn't dedicated car parking, but the on-street parking outside is normally reasonably easy to find a space in, and it costs as little as 20p to park in the pay area if you can't get a space on the road opposite which shouldn't really break the bank.

Sort of a workman's like cafe feel, but mixed crowd. As an example, we had egg, bacon and sausage sandwich, egg and cheese sandwich, large plate of chips (fries) and 2 cappuccino's for $6.50. That would just cover the cost of the coffee at most places.

Popular with students, office workers and shoppers the shop is very reasonable priced. The selection of panninis is vast, and start at only £2.75. The only negative is that as the shop is so small and yet so busy, it gets very hot and if you have a long wait, you leave smelling of cooking oil.

We wanted to try it out. Very sad to say the food was so-so. The menu had some basic breakfast items, sandwiches, and cakes. To me, this is a nicely decorated greasy spoon in the heart of Sheffield. I wouldn't say it's a tea room when their selection of tea comes from Twinings The service was also not great. After taking our food away, they immeidately gave us the bill. We paid and shortly after, one of the waitress gave us a 5 minute notice to leave because the table was reserved for a different party. We also noticed that there were 5 empty tables so I don't understand why they needed us to give up our table. I had not even finish my tea yet. Truely disappointing service and I will not come back.
