I had the pleasure of working with Cynthia on referral from my sister who spoke highly of her and so I decided to give her a try. Cynthia was absolutely fantastic to work with, start to finish. She listened and learned what my preferences were in home features, location, and budget and helped guide me to options that I was able to review. She stayed on top of things even when I was abroad in London for 6 months and sent me some options and kept me in the loop. She even Facetimed with me to provide me virtual views of homes while I was away! When I decided to put the search on pause until I got back to the States, she completely understood and respected that and didn't pressure me at all. When I got back to the States and picked back up on house-hunting on fast-forward speeds, things got a little hairy on my end where I was getting frustrated with losing out on bids or finding homes with too many issues. I had to leave yet again to go abroad and had about a little less than 1.5 months to find a home before I left again. I definitely took out my frustrations on her and got testy and grumpy (and yelly and angry and batshit) with her, but she never once reacted equally. She was always the consummate professional and was sympathetic with my plight of being a nomad for so long. When I finally got a house, she made sure she was on top of all the details to expedite the process as much as she could. She followed up on all the paperwork and action items, and made sure it was arranged for my sister to have power of attorney to handle the final transaction. The house closed, my sister got the keys, and Cynthia was a sweetheart and left me flowers, a bottle of champagne, and a kind note congratulating me on getting the home after a long and arduous search. After this wonderful experience with Cynthia, I cannot say enough good things about her. She's sweet, honest, sympathetic, patient, hilarious, and down-to-earth. I closed. That is the best I can say. Cynthia presented herself as communicative during our initial meetings, but once I signed the contact, she became much less helpful. She did not provide good suggestions during negotiations with the buyers - instead pressuring me to accept the offer with mixed messages that the market was changing, that all the other Relators were seeing the same thing, and that leaving my house on the market for 7 days would be a problem. She did not provide independent advice about the offer or the market - just said I should accept it and that I should listen to her professional advice. She seemed annoyed when I asked for more information. Closing almost didn't happen because she waited to work with the title company to get my loan payoff info until Friday at 430, for a Monday closing. Can't recommend. There are too many real estate agents in Austin - find another one. read more

I retained JB Goodwin via an Internet search and Cynthia was assigned as my agent. I asked specifically for Avery Ranch because I did not want to live in Cedar Park or more north, due to paying tolls. Cynthia put me on an automated email update that included CP/Leander areas and I emailed her advising her of this but evidently she did not stop the automated emails of properties that didn't interest me. oh well. fast forward to 30 days until i needed a new place to live. Cynthia said I couldn't really seriously look for 15 more days. on 6/15 I asked her to email me a rental application (4 pages) so I could get started on it. she said at 9 am via email off her iPhone that she would get it to me later that day. later in the afternoon I emailed her again asking for it. no answer. I know all her emails go to her iPhone.... I then call my friend at Turnquist Partners and he said that he can have an agent on this rental immediately. I said I'd give Cynthia until 5 pm to get me the rental application or contact me. at 3:30 pm I email her and her office manager stating they have until 5 pm to get me the application or call me or I'm going to work with another realtor. well they call me at 3:37 pm finally. nobody gives me any reply until i tell them i am going to find another realtor. As I was busy at the time Cynthia called, I called her back in an hour. she makes excuses for not sending me the application because (1) she was busy showing properties to other clients and (2) there was no exigency to get it started anyway. at no time did she apologize for not doing what she said she would do. that is what made me upset, that she would take ownership of her error and refused to admit she had simply dropped the ball. i had to remind her that she could have called her office and had someone there fax it or email it to me. evidently that was not an option or it slipped her mind that she has an office staff to do easy things like this. at this time her manager Leslie called me and I told her to hold on so I could conference her in and we could all talk. at that point Cynthia disconnected and refused to answer. I told Leslie that Cynthia has until 6 pm today to contact me, as she found it convenient simply to hang up and not pick up the phone when her client calls, or I would retain another company. Leslie said she would call Cynthia. 5 minutes later Leslie calls me back and says some other guy in the office will be handling my account now. I told Leslie I felt that the realtors office was treating me like I was in the wrong when in fact the one who was clearly in the wrong for not doing something very simple and fulfill her word was Cynthia. if this is how they treat me before they get my money, imagine how bad it will be once i sign a lease and/or they get my money. I told Leslie that I would have to sleep on it and decide tomorrow whether or not to keep them or go to another company. Leslie just laughed in my face. evidently this was funny for her, which was the last straw. the only thing they did was make it easy for me to decide to fire them after they thought it was professional to laugh at me in my face. what a bunch of unprofessional people. i guess they get their rocks off making little guys like me wonder how they are going to handle finding me a place to live when they are too busy to send an email or a fax. read more

I can't recommend her highly enough~ THE SHORT: Unlike some other realtors I met, you aren't pushed off to her assistant, even though she has one to help her out. She works her butt off for you 7days a week. She has been incredibly professional and on her game. Most importantly, she sees you through the end.. ALL the way to the end! THE IMPORTANT DETAILS: We had to switch realtors after 2 months of being with someone who kept asking us to contact her when WE found a house we wanted to look at. Needless to say, we lost the opportunity to bid on a lot of houses that way. We started to interview for another realtor. Most sent me to their assistants, some asked me what my price range was and said they were not interested in meeting, But Cynthia got my info and told me about a house pre market before we got off the phone. She continued that drive the next 2 weeks and we found our home! In Budget, In Austin, 5 Mins from DT ON TOP of her being great at her job.. she also got us through closing (I mean she was the only one there for us) We had a horrible experience with Supreme Lending and was left alone at the closing table with multiple mistakes in the document papers/process. Even though Cynthia was out of town for a wedding(as a bridesmaid), she stayed on the phone with us and called multiple people to try and resolve the situation. She was talking to us up until the point she had to walk down the aisle. SERIOUSLY... SHE ROCKS!! We wouldn't have gotten through that without her... She did the job of our loan officer!!!! Speaking of... Our loan officer was out of town 3x that month said he would be available if we needed him.. but didn't pick up or call back at the time of closing. Thank god we had Cynthia!! I was a little unsure about the market for selling my home, but she did her homework and came up with a price that I found fair but would also help in selling it quick. i realize this review does not match that of the others but they all seemed to be done within the same few days, save one. I was the seller of a property and found Cynthia to be extremely unprofessional and not very knowledgeable on completing the basic forms for a real estate transaction. She was friendly as all get out when she wanted something for her clients but is the opposite of the regular dealings. The offer for my home was not in the best interest of her clients. The deal fell apart due to financing days before closing and while out of contract, I was sent a very unprofessional email. I will admit, the day it fell apart, I was very nasty to her on the phone. She almost blew it for her clients (her friends). I asked to meet her in person to apologize for being rude to her, she was quite rude when I met her telling the buyers and myself she had somewhere to be at noon and she was not going to be late. This is still while we were out of contract. I could have easily walked out and sold my house in 1 hour however, I felt sorry for her clients. During this meeting she seemed put off at the fact that my agent wanted the paperwork done correctly. In speaking with another agent, days later, the agent stated she had other dealings with Cynthia and found her unprofessional. I also renegotiated the contract myself and lowered the price giving up 3K to help the financing go through. I encourage Cynthia to give up commission to help the financing and she stated she had no idea that was something she could do. It is up to the agent to know these things and make every attempt to get the deal done for her clients. I would not recommend her for either the buyer or seller. read more

This included the pre-listing and listing activities working remote with me in Malaysia and coordinating with a local friend and me while I was overseas. I was never at a want for information. She is extremely disciplined about updates, giving you/your home attention and focus and information sharing. She is very professional and managed the delicate balance between becoming your trusted advisor, telling you the honest truth and ultimately not pushing you and letting you decide.
