new dunlop tire installed by Rush
Sogyel L.

These guys were great - true bike enthusiasts and fair in terms of pricing. I highly recommend them. There's a pretty casual vibe there so I recommend calling in advance so they expect you. Took in my Rebel 250 for an assessment. I'd been doing my own maintenance but hadn't had a professional look at it since I got it 3 summers ago. Jeremy was able to do a walk around and quick ride and tell me in less than 10 mins and what needed to be fixed urgently and what could wait. My rear tire was balding so we scheduled a tire replacement . I thought the pricing was fair, new tire + labor + tire disposal was around $200. Heads up- their schedule can be quite full so go in maybe a few weeks before you actually need the work done. Rush was the mechanic that actually worked on my bike and he had the job completed in exactly an hour (as predicted) while I waited. He even fixed a squeaking issue I had been having with my front brake rotors/calipers free of charge. I'll be back for future maintenance!

No place else wanted to fix my bike because its old and carbureted. Silver Spring Cycles was the only place in Moco. They did a great job inspecting the bike and giving it the parts and service it needed. Thanks Silver Spring Cycles! My bke has never been better!

I have a 2012 Ducati and have always been going to the Dealer. They no longer do custom work or install any parts other than Ducati. So I was recommended CofSS and these guys are great. They are all extremely knowledgeable about bikes and are all riders. I have found my shop and will not go anywhere else. Their first class, flawless work and the prices are the best around

Thanks for fixing my bike Cycles of SS!
Becca Y.

I used to live in SS and took my HD 883 in for some repair on my headlights. The staff was super friendly and not at all dubious toward me as a female rider like some of the other specialty bike shops. I didn't know anyone in the DMV area so no one could give me a ride home and one of the employees there kindly offered to drop me off. The prices are reasonable and the staff is super friendly and knowledgable and appears to engage in various community and entertainment based activities. I approve!

No more ugly fender!

Very professional. Took their time with my service, made sure to call my attention to a possible issue before they tackled it. 600 mile service + fender delete. Will be back again!

Most of the other bike shops I stepped foot in managed to mansplain me right back out the door. Laurel was patient and helpful as I tried on literally every pair of pants (men and women) in the showroom. The crew there was also super gracious in helping me with some basic questions about my new bike. Love my new riding pants and gloves. Really looking forward to coming back to take a basic maintenance class, learn more about fixing my bike up myself, and meeting more riders.

Gear selection is limited to make finding what you want easy. The shop is very spacious to keep the space feeling more like a hangout than a warehouse for merchandise. A lot of the brands are not distributed by any other brick and mortar shop in the area (Saint comes to mind), and all are high quality and stuff you would actually buy. There is also a selection of supplies, which is targeted for members if the motorcycle club. They stock 15-50 boxer oil which is hard to find to support the boxer owners that are members. This evolving support is part of what makes membership valuable. Which brings us to membership. Half of the space is a members only garage which is available by signing up for one of a few membership tiers. Dues vary with access: higher tiers cost more and give you more time to make use if the garage space, use the wide assortment of shop tools, and in a few cases give access to specialized machinery. Classes that are made available to the public are offered to members at a discounted rate. It's common for 2-3 different projects being worked on, and collaboration is natural. The DC moto scene is small but welcoming, and Dunn Lewis is definitely a good place to connect. They offer events and rides that are available for anyone, and it would be hard not to get involved with DC moto clubs like dirt church if you hang around the shop. Mason and Laurel who run the shop are always available for tips on what's happening around the city and are a huge part of what make DLMC worth supporting. There's also great food and bars on the same block. Worth mentioning. As far as what could be better: it's a new space and features are growing. So if it doesn't have everything you need, you might have to wait for them to bring it in. But you only need to make the suggestion and it's something you'll probably see in the future. All moto and scooter riders are welcome. More than worth a look.

I am SO sorry for the long paragraph review but I just had to let it be KNOWN!!…read more I had an extremely frustrating experience with this dealership's SERVICE department (FALLS CHURCH), and I would not recommend them based on how they are handling my situation. On Saturday March 21, 2026, I brought my 2026 Kawasaki zx6r in for a recall service. Towards the end of the day, I had not been contacted AT ALL and had to go into the service department myself! Just to have them inform me that my recall had been finished much earlier BUT ALSO that their technician had dropped my motorcycle. While I appreciated that they agreed to replace the damaged fairings, everything that followed was handled very poorly. I brought my bike back on Saturday April 18, 2026, to have the replacement parts installed. I was told it would likely be finished the same day. During this appointment, once again I was not contacted and had to telephone them on the status. Apparently, the service department had ordered the wrong-colored part. Luckily, the correct part was available at the other location in Woodbridge, and they planned to send someone to pick it up, but the repair would not be completed until Monday. While I initially understood the delay, I was disappointed by the lack of preparation and communication. Then Monday, April 20, 2026, that turned out to be false because the technician assigned to my bike wasn't even there that day. I didn't find out about this until I had PHYSICALLY gone to service because AGAIN NO ONE WAS CONTACTING ME WITH ANY UPDATE! So I had no idea if anyone even went out to Woodbridge to pick up the part-- like they said they would. One of the service workers let me know that my bike would probably be finished tomorrow which was a Tuesday and that they would give me a CALL IF ANYTHING COMES UP. At this point I've started to become quite frustrated. On Tuesday April 21, 2026, I came in with my boyfriend who needed something from parts, while I was there I decided to stop by service after receiving ZERO communication ALL DAY even though the guys said they would start contacting if ANYTHING. I doubt my bike was even finish but I thought it was worth a try. I was told my bike was already being worked on and would be done soon, so I decided to wait. After about 30 minutes, I found out through an employee that my bike had not even been started yet--and that there was no chance it would be finished that day because it takes 3 HOURS to put on a piece. I was LIED to and given false hope! TODAY is Wednesday April 22, 2026, I still have not received a single text, call, or email with any update on my motorcycle--whether it's being worked on or even finished. This is after being told multiple times that work was already in progress. I'm annoyed with having to physically go in and demand answers and then getting lied to straight in my face. I didn't WANT to be a Karen but now I FEEL like a Karen. I just really want my bike, answers, communication, and these ridiculous delays to stop! At this point, the lack of communication is completely unacceptable. A simple update takes seconds, yet I've had to repeatedly chase down basic information myself. It feels like customers are left completely in the dark unless they physically show up or call. This was my first time using a ANY kinda of dealership for service, since I did most of everything else at home and it was only because of a recall. Unfortunately, this experience has completely destroyed my trust in their service department and I will never come back to this location for any kind of service and will be continuing with Woodbridge if anything were to ever come up. I would strongly warn others to be cautious.

When I spoke with their service department, they agreed to take care of it for me.. no apology or anything about the extra time out of my week to get to and from their shop. I should have bailed right then and there. Fast forward a few years. Nothing but issues for a bike I took excellent care of and only put a grand total of 1000 miles on. I won't get into too many details here, but they kept the bike for a little over 3 months this last spring, " trying" to resolve an issue I was having with the bike struggling to start and not running correctly when it did start. After three months I complained to the owner about the absurd bill I got after his team of " professional Triumph techs" could not figure out anything and just started throwing random parts at it. To be clear, there were 3 error codes... After 90 days they didn't even mention any of those codes! The owner did right by me in terms of having them remove most of the fees they tacked on for their bull$!#@ work. It was super irritating that I was still out a couple hundred bucks for an intake snorkel (What the actual F?) and spark plugs (which I had also just replaced one day before leaving it with them) The real final coffin nail for me was that the final call from the service guy was unacceptable and infuriating: "Given enough time, we probably could figure it out, but we just don't have time to deal with your bike right now". I have never been more angry or disappointed by a business. I essentially just threw 10K+ into a fire. I will never purchase a bike here again and I will instruct everyone I encounter to avoid them for bike purchases and especially repairs.

I bought my new bike and had done a lot of long rides on the stock seat and had no issues. However,…read moreI wanted to sit lower on the bike, so I talked to Longos about lowering me down if possible. He explained the fitment process, and I took off work on the day we agreed and went down. He looked at the bike and he fitted me. He took the cover off, shaved some stuff and had me test ride it. Truly knowledgeable and he will let you know that he is and give you a good education in seating. I asked him the price originally and he told me $200 to do it. He took my seat in the back and came out and told me he could not make it look any better because I have holes in the back of the seat on each side for passengers grab rails. He could not pull it tight, and it looked like crap. In addition, you could clearly see where he shaved and did not sand the foam, and it was plain horrible. He told me the only way to fix it was to build me a custom seat, and he would need the bike for a week, and it would cost an additional $400. I left after paying the $200 and told him I would see. The more I looked at my bike, the more I hated it and found a brand-new stock seat for $75 and bought it and am just going to leave it. For someone that is so knowledgeable, he should have looked at the seat and known how it would look. It looks like an amateur did it sadly. I do not want to accuse anyone of bait and switch, but that is how I feel about it. I will not go back and no longer refer my customers to him.

Simply the best if you need a custom motorcycle seat! Very professional and timely.read more
