However, this time we had an excellent guide, Wendy. Since no one else had booked it, she took more than three hours and guided us through the history of the entire journey. Wendy was so informed, professional, and genuinely a sweet person. This made our trip all the more enjoyable. She came with a large backpack filled with cool stories and facts. Jane's education and background provided a very in depth historical perspective on this unique place. We went on the morning tour (2 1/2 - 3 hours) and hit all the high points of Brugge and then ended with a cool refreshment (a beer of course) near the windmill. Would absolutely recommend this place and feel like a bike tour is a fantastic way to cover the city (assuming you are comfortable riding a bike :)
