Not only is that very rude, they forwarded my personal information to a different pharmacy without notifying me! Chestnut Hill was a great little pharmacy, one of few local pharmacies left. They were great, until the weren't! They should have let their customers know what was going on, as any decent business owner would do. Last week I contacted my pharmacy, and waited until I could speak to a human being. They noted my request, but said I needed my doctor to renew the prescription. I asked how long it would take, because my last meds were running out that week. They said they would contact my doctor immediately, and then have my prescription filled by Tuesday. Tuesday came and went without any communication from the pharmacy. I contacted the pharmacy twice for information and got no response. On Friday my prescription ran out. On Saturday, I went to the pharmacy in person to sort out the problem. The person I spoke with said they needed my doctor to renew the prescription, which I agreed, but asked if they had not done so earlier in the week. They said they had, and listed a two-year old phone number and address for the doctor. I explained that they were calling an old, non-existent number, and they needed the new one. They reached out to the doctors' office, which was closed, and left a message. I was told I would have to wait until Monday, probably. I called the doctors' office call service, and explained the issue. They escalated it as an emergency, and had the on-call doctor renew my prescription within ten minutes. I waited the rest of Saturday for the notification that my emergency prescription had been filled. At 5:15 PM, I received it. However, the pharmacy had closed at 5 PM that day. Prior to this incident, I have had good communication and results from this pharmacy. This is disappointing, but I will keep giving them my business.

The entire team that works here is awesome. They never leave you standing at the counter waiting long periods of time. They always acknowledge your presence and let you know they will be right with you. I feel like they take an interest in my dads well being and health. Whenever an issue about dads scripts arise they call me. My dads dr wanted him to get a glucose meter, the pharmacy needed the dr to fill out a certain section on some paper work. They faxed the drs office multiple times even going as far as showing me the correspondence, as well as calling so that they could process the script. Once it was completed the Pharmacist Masecerae brought myself and my dad in a room to show us how to use the glucose meter. She has definitely made this process smoother. In fact she called today suggesting they put one of his maintenance meds on a 90 supply so that it doesn't have to be filled monthly, which would definitely save me in gas and running back and forth. My pharmacy has never done any of these things and because I have managed care I have to go to cvs, otherwise I would have definitely switched a long time ago. I recently had my prescriptions moved to CVS following the closing of the Walgreens I had used for years. On the first occasion I visited the store there was an issue with my prescription, but the issue the second occasion is just DANGEROUS. My doctor prescribed 3 new medications for me, a steroid, an antibiotic, and an inhaler. As i observed the person helping me present me with 5 bags of medication i jokingly told him i am apparently sicker than i thought. I asked him to check the bags again and he assured me that they were all in my name. When I checked the bags I realized that 2 of the bags were for steroids 1 at a higher dosage than the other, on further examination I realized that the higher dose bag was the old prescription from the 1st time i had filled my prescription there. I said to him that that was the prescription which I purchased the week before. I checked the label and the date file was 6/16/25. When I got home i crosschecked the medication I received to ensure that they were consistent with the doctor's discharge note and discovered that one of the bags was for an antibiotic which I had purchased the week before. Can you imagine the harmful impact of taking double the prescribed dosage of a steroid and an antibiotic at the same time. I don't know who one would report this to, but i advise everyone to be alert.

My doc's office had let me know that I was overdue for two shots (when's the last time *you* had a tetanus shot?!) so I called the pharmacy to confirm that they could do them both and went during the hours they do injections. It was a Friday - I wanted a couple of days to recoup if I had a reaction - and was disappointed when their computer showed that they had one dose left of one shot but it wasn't on the shelves. One of the pharmacists said that they weren't busy and offered to go to another Acme pharmacy right then to get it. He was back in 15 minutes, I got my shots, and am very thankful for his generosity.
