Located off South Mur Len Rd, CVS is there to support all of your one stop shopping needs. That said I'm not sure how many people actually shop IN CVS other than for quick items. Because what I've noticed is CVS nationwide have on average a 8% increase in pricing over everywhere else. I believe the reason is because of not buying in bulk. I don't think I'm leaking any secrets here as that's just what I've observed. Most of the shelves were stocked but the products in the fridge and freezer where sparse as if no one restocked them in ages. One thing I have noticed is CVS gets in interesting holiday supplies like Danish cookies for Xmas. I never seen these cookies anywhere else so that is worth remembering. As for the pharmacy they're ok I suppose. They're relatively quick to fill orders yet sometimes they get backed up and their "manners" are questionable. I won't hold that against them though as it's a tough job, I just figured I'd point it out. CVS is a place where many of us get our medications filled and as far as that aspect, they're about average speed, maybe a smidge under but with a nice staff. Inside the store portion of the freestanding unit, prices aren't competitive and I would pass on anything that needs refrigeration. As for me since the pharmacy is right around the corner, I find them capable of fulfilling my order so I'll be back. read more

I picked up my sons liquid medication which is $130 dollars and it was put in a ziplock bag with tape around the top of the bottle. They clearly knew this bottle was leaking and for some reason decided to give it to me that way and now I am short 10mL of medication. Pretty awful way to give someone there child's medication. read more

I've given this store so many chances and now I'm going to avoid it ALL costs. I'm usually loyal Walgreens customer, but a few times I've run in here for convenience. Each time I've had a bad experience with their customer service. This time at the check the guy changed me $10.50 for a product marked $2.50, I don't know how that even happens. I checked my receipt before walking out and then brought the error to his attention. He was super annoyed and wouldn't even put the credit back on my card so he just shoved back the overage to me in cash. No apology, just annoyed that he had to do his job and correct his own error, or maybe it was the computer, but either way. Own it, apologize and be nice...guess that's too much to ask. They do have a good selection of over the counter meds for whatever's bothering you. They also have some food items on the shelves and in the pantry. I find their toiletry/makeup items are a bit higher priced than even at a grocery store. They do have weekly ads and those will be your best deals. Honestly, I'll keep coming here for the Redbox outside and I'll be driving the extra 5 minutes to Walgreens ALWAYS in the future. No more dealing with this place. read more

Not really sure how much a pharmacist cares about you when a text is received at 5:55 that your prescription is ready and they close at 6:00. I wasn't aware that they closed at 6/00 (my bad and I take responsibility for that) but I arrived at 6:03 only to be told I would have to return tomorrow. No apologies for the inconvenience, no effort to reopen the register, just let me know that they are open at 8:00 tomorrow morning. I have used Walgreens for decades and wish to hell I could continue to use them. Unfortunately insurance won't allow that. Will be checking tomorrow how much it would cost out of pocket to go back to them. read more

This place is such a nightmare. We are held hostage by our insurance company only allowing prescriptions from CVS. We've had to go here for over two years, but I can't take it any more. For real. I'm gonna drive an extra 30 minutes to the CVS in OP just to avoid this place. Your meds will never be ready on time. If they tell you 30 minutes and you come back an hour later; it won't be ready. If they tell you it'll be ready in an hour and you come back 3 hours later; it won't be ready. You can even get a text from their automatic system saying your meds are ready, but if you drive there; they won't be ready. After two years of this, I've had to start calling, sit through 5 minutes of their automated machine, hope it connects to a person (and that they don't hang up on me instead of answering and I have to start the whole process over), and triple check that my meds are ready. And sometimes they still aren't! Once I called to check on my daughter's meds (her doctor called it in in the morning and this was after dinner time), and they said they were running two days behind. Two days! How is that okay!? There are medications people need to function and survive but they're running two days behind? This isn't a Covid thing. They've always been like this. It's gross incompetence. I'd say they have blind, fingerless, monkeys back there trying to count out the pills, but that would be an insult to disabled monkeys everywhere. I have tried for years to go to CVS since it is the preferred pharmacy of my insurance, but no more. They have filled scripts wrong over the years, never have meds ready, and rarely have the full order of meds. They are always short pulls, and I have to come back for the rest. Over the last year they have not been able to fill my daughter's epi pens- only have inferior genetic. Luckily Walgreens always could. I am done with them and will stick with Walgreens, even if I have to pay a little more. read more

absolutely outrageous on prescription cost. simple prescription fill was $322 and Hyvee had it for $7.89. the pharmacist replied "we processed it through insurance " which picked up NOTHING!!!. also had a perscription for for Exalta for $800 and all the other RX was substantially less. If I could give this place a zero, I would. EVERY time we go to the pharmacy there is an issue that they have caused. Today called in a prescription which was to be ready by 1700. When I arrived at 1920 I sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes and the car at the window did not move. I decided to go inside. When I told them my information I was told that my prescription was not ready and it would be another 20 minutes. I asked them why as their service said it would be ready by 1700. The girl said she would try and expedite this. 10 minutes later they informed me that they did not have the medicine and would not for a week. I asked why didn't anyone text or call ? IDK was the response. This type of service has gone on here for months. Dont have the medicine or not filled is the standard response. There were 4 people working and the original car was STILL waiting at the window. Tomorrow I will be going to Walgreens to compare their insurance and see if they will accept the company provided plan CVS plan. Run don't walk away from this place. We have been forced to use this place for 3 years and it has been an absolute train wreck from DAY ONE. I finally received a couple of days medicine instead of the 90 I should have. I totally agree with the other reviews on here. The customer service at this location is well below average. I've had pharmacy technicians and pharmacists tell me the wrong information multiple times. One recent example includes my precalling to verify they would quarter medications by hand, like my vet's office, if I had my vet call in a prescription to them; it is cheaper there than filling it in their office. I was told both times they could hand quarter them; moreover, I was told when I called to verify it was filled that they had quartered them. When we picked up the prescription, none of the pills were quartered. Properly quartering this medication is extremely important, because the medication side effects (mirtazapine, an appetite stimulant/anti-anxiety/anti-depressant) include increased heart rate and sedation. Plus, my dog has early stage kidney disease, so medications easily build up in her system due to the kidneys not filtering certain things out as efficiently as they should. So I don't feel confident quartering the medication myself. I'd rather let a professional do it. When I brought this to the pharamacist's attention, Jeremy, he argued with me repeatedly and stated I asked for the pills to be scored. I know the difference between scoring and physically quartering medications. This is definitely not what I asked for. When he repeatedly insisited I had, I told him if he continued to argue with me that I would be placing a call to his district manager. He could not have cared less. He went as far to offer me the customer service number to complain and continued to argue with me. When I told him I should have filled it at Costco and that I wouldn't be filling there again, he couldn't care less. He offered to transfer it for me, when obviously all I needed to do was take the bottle to Costco myself when I needed it refilled and they could take care of it. Total arrogance. So I spent the evening filing a BBB report, and depending how they handle the complaint, I very well might file an Attorney General and FTC complaint as well. This is why. I have never given them permission to automatically refill prescriptions with doctors when it states no refills. They do it anyhow. I have also repeatedly asked them to stop texting and phoning me about refills. They repeatedly called me for months following my numerous requests for no calls. Several years ago, I also had a problem with a pharmacist at this location on my husband's medication. They failed to promptly fill the medication, a medication he had run out of and that can cause seizures if abruptly stopped. His doctor stated he sent the prescription over, but they claimed "they never received it". Bull, because the doctor had a confirmation fax. The pharmacist didn't even offer to give a couple of days worth of medication to prevent withdraw symptoms, clearly what he should have done. When I got into with him and stated we would not patonize this location again, he flat out said he didn't care. When we finally got the medication, their system didn't even thoroughly print off the insert. So I contacted the district manager; she apologized and stated there was a training issue. I filled some prescriptions occasionally since then, usually when sick, primarily because they are down the street from my house. I am fairly certain this pharmacist was fired because I never saw him again. So, since then, I primarily filled my prescriptions through Target or Express Scripts. But CVS recently bought out Target's pharmacy. Because I had a couple of decent experiences at the Target location since the CVS buyout, I thought I'd try the one down the street again. I've filled medications only a few times in the past 4-5 months or so, and I don't see anything has changed. The employees are still as disorganized and are rude as hell. It is like they don't even understand there are other options in the area, better options. I mean, they don't even have a robotic pharmacy machine to prevent human error. Wal-mart even has that. The only thing that keeps this place open is sick baby boomers that don't have the time or energy to get their prescriptions filled someplace else. Finally, a long time ago, I filled a prescription that interacted with grapefruit juice. CVS (not this location) failed to list it on the side of the bottle or on the insert. As a result, I drank grapefruit juice and broke out in a serious rash. Apparently the drink acts as an enzyme catalyst, which increases the medication dosage. They are lucky I didn't overdose or that it didn't cause permanent health problems. Other than that, the other experiences outside of the pharmacy are above average. I have shopped at this store for years and love the people at this location! They are like family. When I walk in they greet me with a smile, ask how I'm doing, never seem to mind helping me find something and even know a lot of my likes. It's fun to go there and swap stories about children and grandchildren and even pets--if no one is in line behind me. Maybe that's something people don't appreciate anymore, because they want to just go get their stuff and leave. I understand--and especially when you're in a hurry or there to get meds, etc. But I have sure enjoyed cultivating relationships with these wonderful people and have always found them to be professional and friendly. Otherwise, I would've gone somewhere else a long time ago. read more

This is my most favorite cvs store!! Jerry and Don are so nice and I really appreciate how patient they are with me. I am a new couponer and I feel comfortable coming in here. It is hard for clerk Jerry to just smile and check out. I purchased the wrong item and returned and replaced with right one. When I returned it, Clerk Jerry said I have many returns and refunds to the same credit card per their system. Actually, I didn't return anything the whole year. I doubt he was just lying. when we are ready to check out. My husband ask him to print off or show us what their system said. He got mad and yelling at my husband "you are threating me, I am gonna call 911!!". I ask my husband not to argue or ask for anything and not to get mad because of Jerry's attitude. It was 9:00pm at night and we need to go home. I told Jerry "We don't need anything else. We just need to check out. Could you check out for us?" Jerry yelled at me:'' no. go out MY Store!!!" I was very nice all the time. I am fine with his lie. after I said several "Please" to him. He finally check out for us. My husband print out our credit card statement which shows no returns and refunds in 2014. and he brought it to the manager next morning. and told him the story. The manager said he will need to listen to story from Jerry. My Husband called manager after several hours. Manager said Jerry will treat you fairly if you treat him fairly. It means we were not treating him fairly. We deserve the attitude. What kind of manager will hire same kind of employee. Maybe lie is good thing for this store. About the lie regarding return and refund, We went to other CVS stores and they all told me no such thing and their system can not track credit card activities. After I saw many negative feedback on Jerry, I realize Jerry was intend to insult me since I was not native America. He treats others with different colors with bad attitude as well. I have been using this pharmacy for over 10 years. Sure, they've had some times when service was less than stellar, but over all, this is hands down my favorite drug store. It's really hard to give this store more than one star. It's been mistake after disappointment after not caring after being told it's my fault. Perhaps it's unfortunate the store I compare them to is Walgreen's. I only use the pharmacy at CVS because I have to--my wife and kids' insurance requires CVS. Mine, I can choose. Walgreen's is always professional, their website works, they're friendly, and they act like they genuinely care. The pharmacist there knows me by name and has always gone out of the way to take care of me as a person, not just a customer. Take everything I just said regarding Walgreen's and apply just the opposite to CVS. I ordered refills off their website once--when I went to pick them up they had no record. They just said "don't trust our website, always call them in." Seldom do I see the same person at the pharmacy--to me that spells turnover. And high turnover spells poor management. I have not had similar experiences at other CVS stores, so I assume the impersonal, I'm doing you a favor waiting on you attitude is not found elsewhere. If there was a closer CVS I'd avoid this one at all costs. read more
