Basically the only place for non-exorbitantly-priced groceries during Bee Week in National Harbor DC. Visited here a lot for Chobani yogurt drinks, orange juice, and it also has granola/snack bars & those yummy Albanese gummy bears. Lots of self-service kiosks make checkout quick, and you can get some coupons to use on the next CVS visit. read more

A friend was in need which brought us here to pick up a few items for him. He wasn't feeling well and was holding up in his hotel room, so a few of us decided to come down here to grab him some things to help him stay hydrated and keep the fever down. It is nice to have this here within walking distance of all the hotels. It's a bit cheaper as well instead of paying the in hotel prices. But, because of that, sometimes the items are a bit picked over and you might not always find what you are looking for. The shape of the store itself is a bit wonky. They basically made themselves fit into the footprint that was allowed by the space. It is a twisting and turning narrowed aisled store. Items are kind of put where they could fit, not where you would expect them. Service here was a ok, mostly help yourself kind of establishment. Self checkouts can expedite your exit. read more

Located right around the corner from where I was staying. Convenient for getting groceries and medical supplies but everything is overpriced. I initially came here for an unlimited metro pass. Instead got the phone metro pass which made things easier. Instead of grocery shopping we did Instacart and had groceries delivered from Costco and Safeway. It was way cheaper. read more

If you're looking at the building from the front or coming from the waterfront, the main entrance would be to the left. We can't enter from the right side at all. We are back here, once again, because I've run out of a box and a half of Band-Aids from walking as much as we have the last week or so. We also came here to buy some razors and some facial toner. They have quite an abundance of basic items you would find at CVS anywhere, additionally they have some food and grocery games. I actually have a substantial amount of items here. read more

What's with all the self check out?! Came in since my colleague needed to pick up some items for the hotel room in between conference sessions. We stayed a few blocks away, and if you're traveling alone, walking to CVS is safe. What is weird about this CVS that I definitely was not accustomed to is that you don't have a live person checking you out for payment. There are all self-check out stands. There is an employee, however, who is there to assist you upon check out. My colleague and I were in a time crunch and she wanted to use her CVS coupon. Evidently, for the 1 item she wanted to purchase the computer didn't want to accept her coupon. We were at the self-check out for several mins until the employee finally came over. He assisted and then we were off. CVS is convenient for the necessities. Pack your patience if you're not used to self-check out. read more

I came to this cvs to pick up a couple snacks. As soon as I walked in I was greeted. While walking down the aisles I was asked did I need help with anything. There are several friendly associates on the floor that are willing to help if you need it. I like the fact that they do not watch or follow you the entire time while you are shopping. They have 4 self checkout machines. From the angle of my picture, it only shows 3. There was someone at the fourth one who kept looking back so I didn't want to snap the picture lol. There are 2 registers, one in the back and one in the front. One of the associates stated that they use them on their busiest days, Fridays and Saturdays. But if you have a problem with using the self checkout, there is someone near who assists if you need help. Also if you are not from the Maryland or Washington DC area, they have some nice souvenirs. They have just about everything; shirts, shoes, hats, cups, keychains etc. read more

Every month I come to this cvs for my same medication which is a prescribe narcotic medication from my nuerologist for over 8 years and EVERY MONTH the pharmacy keeps telling me the medication isn't there, or doctor havent sent the prescription or prescription was sent to another cvs, which takes about 2-3 weeks before the pharmacy tell me he see the prescription, then he say the prescription wasn't written correctly DAW1 he says the prescription was written DAW 0--which the dr WILSON show me the prescription before she faxed it to the cvs on 162 fleet st, national harbor, oxen Hill. Okay next he tells me well the medication is not here....NOW IM OUT OF MY PUERCOT 10/325 AGAIN which is what my insurance pay for the name brand and what my dr GEORGE DRAKE PRESCRIBED.. ITS UNPROFESSIONAL and I at the point to carry my business to another pharmacy chain where I can gwt better service read more

I can walk to this CVS in the National Harbor from my job. Glad I can grab a quick wrap, chips and juice here along with office supplies, hair and personal care hygiene products as well. CVS is over priced everywhere, so that is not a surprise. I usually am greeted and asked if I need help. Staff work the register when requested. I think this strategy is a chosen one for their personnel because sometimes at lunch the store can be rammed with people visiting for a conference or convention. This location actually carries multiple products from the Physicians Formula OrganicWear line. The coupons last about a week to a month contingent upon what you're buying and using. read more

Needed a couple of toiletries while staying at the Hampton Inn just up the street. After standing in line for a few minutes - I was next in line. The cashier then directed me to a Self Pay Station - I asked if she was unable to ring me up - as I wanted her to scan my CVS card from my iPhone - the built in scanners can't read the barcode on smartphones. She seemed like she was annoyed with me - so I shrugged it off and went and paid at one of the Self Pay Stations. read more

I appreciate that this CVS was just a few blocks from my hotel. Rather than paying inflated Gaylord prices for things like bottled water, snacks or toiletries, you can get everything here. That said, the prices are significantly higher than other CVS locations. If you have a car and the ability to go elsewhere, do it. If not, it's your best/only option in the area for sundries. read more

Bottom Line: Convenient place for sundries if you are staying in the area. Amongst overpriced hotels and restaurants that are situated in the middle of nowhere (ok, in non-glamorous Prince George's County, Maryland, 20+ minutes from downtown DC) is this convenient CVS Drugstore and Pharmacy. Like many other Yelper's noted, I ended up here while staying at the Gaylord Hotel. I needed a few toiletries so I stopped in here to get them before continuing on with my travels to downtown DC. This store was quite busy on a weekend night with people buying snacks and such so I imagine it has a healthy business. There is nothing particular about this CVS but it is a nice option for those staying in the area and wanting to stock up on snacks or purchase forgotten toiletries. read more

What this CVS has going for it is LOCATION. Having just checked into the Gaylord up the street, I of course realized an item I had forgotten to pack. CVS was a pleasant several block walk, although the door nearer to the direction I was approaching from was out of order. Entering through the door on the next corner, this is a standard city CVS. I easily located my item, used self checkout and left, all within about 3 minutes. So for convenience, this CVS really can't be beat. read more

If you have been to one CVS, you have been to them all. However, this place seemed different...special in a way and maybe it was the vast collection of souvenirs or wine, but this place called to me like no other CVS did. Also the staff was awesome and super helpful when I looked lost. They took the initiative to come up and ask if I needed anything. Additionally, despite the line and the convention nearby, each teller was on it and rang up their customers quickly and efficiently. Definitely using this CVS again if nearby. read more

I am serious when I say the staff...from the cashiers to the manager to the stock ppl are so friendly The shelves were fully stocked. I did arrive at opening so kudo to the staff for getting ready for the day. I have a nostaglic connection to CVS because when i was in college, CVS was my go to as a broke college student. I'm impressed with the number of sales they still carry. And now that I don't have to go to CVS 20 years later...when I do happen to need one while I'm on the road, I can count on them to have what I need know that they had my interest 20 years ago....as well as today. read more

I was first to review as indicated by being on my first to review list which was actually in the Yelp New York news letter and now I see the dates have been changed again and now it says someone else was first to review. I just happened to be in the area because we were going away for work to be done on our money pit of an apartment. This is one FTR I remember clearly! I dont get paid for these reviews but obviously someone did. Other wise why remove the first to review. It is not really a big deal except I hate injustice and deceit. This is about the Pharmacy. The store is great with great customer service. The Pharmacy is another story. NO CUTOMER SERVICE and when you ask for a District Manager they tell you to call the 1800 number who takes your call but there is no follow through. The Pharmacy Manager is the worst. Does not complete your prescription correctly or they are always out of the medication. I am disabled and this is the closest pharmacy so I don't have other options but if you can go somewhere else I highly recommend. read more

Very convienient especially if you are just visiting the area. Nothing special about this CVS but you tend to appreciate it more when you are a tourist to an area. If you are familiar with one CVS, you know all CVS. 1. Shelves were fully stocked 2. Staff was warm and friendly 3. This is a CVS a Full service Drugstore at the Harbor. Same prices as anywhere in town. Can't beat it. Only thing I wish, Make it 24 hours. Other wish, add the self check out to every CVS in the area. This would keep me from waiting for the one person in the store to find time to check me out. That is not the issue at this site. This CVS has a larger variety of healthier convenience foods - such as yogurt, boiled eggs, smoothies, and granola - than many of the CVS locations I'm used to. They have both self-checkouts and manned registers. On all the occasions I've been (about a half dozen, in both 2014 and 2018), they've had both options for checkout open. This is a great place to pick up some snacks, breakfast food, or any toiletries you forgot if you're staying in National Harbor. read more

It's a drugstore, so it kind of is what it is. Regardless, it's incredibly useful to have a CVS at National Harbor for those of us who work here. The store is always well laid out and clean, and I can generally find what I need, though I feel like the prices are a bit higher here than at other CVS locations. Employees can sometimes be a bit overly present as far as greeting you when you're walking around--I wonder if this is in part because they seem to really encourage you to use the self-checkout at the front of the store, so there are more employees than usual in the other parts of store. I've had a good experience with the pharmacy here, so I'll go up a half-star (with that, my rating would technically be 3 1/2 stars). read more

There were no cashiers in sight, and I was forced to use some sort of self-check out. The option of customer service would be nice. Just another reason to GTFO National Harbor. read more

I like this CVS. The beauty area is huge and was well organized. I also enjoyed the variety of food and snack options that were available (p.s...a more vegan/vegetarian selection the better). It would be nice if it stayed open later but its no biggie. read more

We came in 10 minutes before closing and we weren't the last ones to come in. But we felt very rushed to just grab a drink and check out. They wee discussing whether they should close the door early so people don't come in. That's kind of rude and doing disservice to their customers. Terrible experience all thanks to Chantal E. Farah, the pharmacy manager. I would NOT go to this pharmacy. Patients need pharmacists that are compassionate and helpful. This one could care less. My mom was so frustrated when she got off the phone with her. I thought I was helping by calling back to better explain, but no. She is terrible. Doesn't need to be leading a team or talking to patients/customers. I will not use this pharmacy again for my loved ones. If you care about yours, you won't either. read more

Not a bad CVS perfect location if you have forgotten or left something behind. On the other hand the staff there was not of the standard I would expect at CVS in any location. The cashier made it clear she had no desire to work as she was face deep into her phone and behind the register. She did take time from what ever serious business she could have been conducting to point me in the direction of the self serve kiosk. When did it become CVS policy that we have to check ourselves out and when and where should I go to collect my check. I don't use self check outs and hate being told that is my only option. read more
