I have shopped there for years and have only seen the soda machine down once. Also the supply chain is still a factor for stores not always having products on hand. I make my own soft pretzels at home. As far as self check out goes, Sam's in Grand Island still has half the check outs run my employees. You don't have to self check if you don't want to. My biggest issue with Sam's is that the people that shop there can be very rude. They stand in the aisles and won't let you through. They let their kids run rampant screaming. Kind of funny. They must be the same people that wrote the other reviews. Sam's in GI is okay. If you know what things cost, you can get a bargain.

Grand Island Ne has the worst Walmarts in the state. There are no Cashiers the customer service…read moresucks. I had an employee hit my cart did not say a word glared at me said something in Spanish to a coworker laughed and walked off. The shelves are empty both stores are a mess. My husband and I go to Hastings which is a 25 mile drive ,but that store is clean well stocked and customer service is awsome. If Sam Walton could see the Grand Island stores he would shudder.

In desperation I called Walmart just to see if they could help. Sure enough they had the tire in stock and were working that afternoon. Whew! With donut tire in place, we worked our way there and had our new tire in less than an hour. Friendly folks and a new tire changed our outlook as we went on our way. Thanks for the great service.
