When we enrolled him in Anderson, we already knew he was bright, but, it had been two years since we had seen that eager-to-be-alive-gleam in his eyes. Sometimes, for reasons we can't even fully explain, one school is simply NOT RIGHT for your child. I say, childhood is too precious to spend another 1/2 of a year, "to see if maybe his teachers and the school would come to see his value." Take him to a school where he has value because he is alive, because he is a child. There are much better places in town to entrust with the care of your precious children. Our child was only at the academy for one month but during that time he managed to catch three potentially severe respiratory diseases (all laboratory confirmed) which makes us wonder about the sanitation practices up there. Just know that if the director Jill badly mishandles something concerning your child as she did with ours and you call her out on it and ask to discuss it with her she will likely be too big of a coward too talk with you, at least in my experience. Do your precious child a favor and stay away from this place!

Their communication is outstanding--we are always informed and have never had a single issue. Before Playhouse, we briefly tried another facility, and the difference in quality was undeniable. They never really see students. The AP's are alright. The school doesn't really care much about bullying. My friend once kissed his girlfriend and they both got lunch detention for a week. So you're saying they get lunch detention for kissing and the only thing bullies get is a talk in the hall? Don't make much sense. Over all I would recommend this school tho. In the GISD there're 2 middle schools, and AMS is 100% better than GMS.

What can be said about Community Christian School..... I…read morehave known several people who's kids went to this school, as well as a member of my family. Growing up and being a (victim) student of the MWISD you think the children who attended the only private school (at the time) were the fortunate ones - however as I grew up and realized what was really going on I realized neither public or private had any special advantages, and the fact is MOST of the children who attend CC are kids who couldn't "cut it" in public school. Troubled kids. Yes there was a handful of your over privileged kids, and a handful of over zealous Christian parents who put their kids in school here for the "Godly education" - but after going to school with the rejects, and having religion shoved down your throat ---- I wouldn't call that privileged at all. Mineral Wells' educational system in a whole sucks. They have some of the lowest test scores in the entire state of Texas, the teachers are some of the lowest paid, and under educated. If your stuck in this town and your child has to be "educated" there - I'm sad for you both. As for my review for Community Christian - don't waste your money. Save it so you can MOVE!
