One side is rough and the other smooth so you can choose. Staff was helpful and voluntarily changed out broken pickets. Only 4 stars because their facilities, staff, etc. lack that polished 5-star feel. Everything is a bit rough and tumble, but there's nothing wrong with it. If you're looking for fence and want to support local businesses, this is a thumbs up. *Note: the six-ish inch boards shrink about half an inch. Check for forklift damaged pickets, they'll change them.

They offered great suggestions on how to achieve the best outcome for the vision of the project. A patio enlargement. I'm speaking from what I experienced with the first project they completed for me last week. I asked for another estimate, which is for board house-to-fence sidewalk with curbs to unify the patio with both sides of the house. They are, even now, working on the second project I requested as I'm typing this review. Alex's Construction is a rare breed in this day of profit over people. They do what they say they will in a timely and professional manner. Give Alex and call and see for yourself.

The pad I had him pour was not proper level and out of square. Out or square forced my carport to…read morehang over, looks tacky. He tried to explain that the out of level was to drain properly to the street which I understand, east to west, the water drains south to north not towards the street but puddles on the steel legs of my carport. The level is off 8 inches from south to north, so my carport ended up losing 8 inches of height and was charged extra to remove 8 inches from every leg on north side. The driveway edges were not troweled correctly, ended up all cracked and he came back to fix but already cracked off again, very tacky. They poured concrete on my existing concrete and let it dry, staining the concrete and looks very tacky. They cleaned their wheel barrels in the middle of my yard, along with all the sand and cigarette butts I had to clean up after them. My driveway was left a muddy mess from their power wheel barrels and again had to spend a whole day power washing it myself. Splattered concrete that won't power wash off all over my garage door and driveway along with scratches/dents from the demo and damaged the edge of my existing garage floor. The entry way to my carport pad has leaves dried into and deep marks left in it to dry. I told him I wanted it to match my existing driveway and he broomed it anyway, but did a sloppy job brooming it as well and left leaves and sticks that left surface marks. Broom lines are not straight and leaves were just broomed in as well not removed. He also demands payment at beginning and then before the job is finished... now I see why! Don't bother with this guy! Once it's dry it's too late, don't make my mistake, pay after he is done NOT before! Better yet just find a professional as he is NOT.

High quality materials and the fit and finish was excellent. The whole process didn't take too long. Be ready to drop some coin immediately after each milestone. They kept good communication throughout the project. I opted not to use the "free vacation " voucher. Nothing is free and the company that provides the service is sketchy at best. Pay up front and wait for reimbursement? Yeah hard no. Pass. The installation team was superb. On time, friendly and professional. Very meticulous and explained everything. Overall I am very happy with my project. It is not cheap so know that going in. Quality is not cheap.

The crew that constructed the fence did an amazing job. They were thorough, very attentive to detail and their construction was beautiful. I've received lots of compliments and inquiries. My only complaint is in regards to the staining crew. It is sloppy, uneven, more stain on the ground than the fence and I wish they applied more than one coat, especially for the cost. Skip the stain and do it yourself. Everything else was perfect, and I highly recommend.

They replaced everything and stated that we had a 1 year warranty on all work completed. This was in August 2024. Fast forward to March of 2025. The gate they fixed split where they put the screws in. I called the company and sent pictures and was quoted the exact same amount I had paid in August to fix it again, because now it needed to be lifted and secured. I asked the owner why that was not done in the first place and why my warranty would not cover it and never received another message from them. DO NOT USE 5 STAR FENCE. Terrible company.
