When I mentioned I wanted to take photos on the National Mall, she let me know I needed to apply for and receive a permit from the National Park Service (we called it our donation fee to keep from getting bitter with NPS). It took longer than expected to get from one end of DC to another due to an unexpected road closure (dignitary motorcade), so we were running about an hour late. I was so grateful Erin was willing to wait for our arrival on a day that is best described as "unseasonably cold". Erin kept the initial portion of the photo shoot moving as she knew those under 7 years old and over 70 years old were expiring fast in the cold weather. She even was able to coax a smile out of Alexandra (my niece) who at 7 months old believes in "stranger danger." My favorite part of the photo shoot was the time my husband and I got to spend "just us" with Erin as it felt fun (and we got to kiss a lot). The photos turned out amazingly beautiful and I loved her creative shots! Erin knew just where to take us on an overcast day! Erin even had a blueberry pie on hand for Pi Day. He was also very flexible and accommodating with the date. The original date we chosen had to get shifted a little bit because the weather was uncooperative for an outdoor photo shoot. He was also very flexible on the location and agreed to come all the way down from Fort Lauderdale to South Pointe Park in South Beach! I really appreciated this, because I don't think there was a more perfect place for this photo shoot. The photoshoot itself was fun and laid back. Alex had asked for pictures and ideas of things I wanted proactively so he had an idea of different poses and shots we could do. He made us comfortable and helped us get the poses right, and we tried a bunch of different locations and angles. I put out the money for hair and makeup to be done (well worth it) and booked the 4 hour session. I was a little intimidated by the pricing for more than what the Groupon included, but we continued on with it, as there was no obligation. When the photo shoot was done, I was speechless. My wife is beautiful to begin with, but these guys specialize in perfection. They really know how to focus on and accentuate existing beauty and highlight features. Their skill with photography is unmatched, and they knew exactly how to help my my wife with the poses. My wife said she had fun and was made to feel very comfortable. Complete disclosure- I walked in skeptical, walked out a happy customer. At the end, you have to choose the pictures you want to keep and pay for.
