Heather Curtis, and her team at Curtis Care, provided care and concern beyond my family's greatest expectations. We hired home care workers to provide meal preparation and driving services and generally assure that my relative was safe. His condition was deteriorating but he wanted to maintain as much independence as possible and be in places he loved. But we received far more than that. Workers responded to his desire to 'explore' the area and look for new places to sit each day. She helped him move residences. We received comprehensive reports of the visits on the family home site; listening to a description of his day and changes in his condition was helpful in deciding how to proceed with care. We received phone calls when there was a concern that the workers thought needed to be addressed quickly. Phone calls often lasted for 30 minutes. Heather was willing to deal with several different members of our family. She responded quickly to emails from the family.With great skill, she communicated when she thought additional assistance was needed, when John's condition was changing, when she thought he needed a different level of care. Heather cared about and respected John And I am confident he knew that and benefitted from the sense of being treated like a person, not a patient. She was our eyes -- and we got 20/20 help. I cannot find words to thank her or to recommend her. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Heather and team. read more

Heather Curtis -Tenney ABS, GCM, ADRD Certified Trainer Heather is a native of Center Tuftonboro NH and a graduate from Kingswood Regional High school (89) and has been in the health care field since 1994. Starting as a family caregiver for Ill parents and siblings she found she enjoyed and had an aptitude for the home healthcare aspect of care. With the desire to assist other families in coping with the psychological, emotional and physical difficulties of the aging process and the difficulty in managing long term care and end of life needs for loved ones. She became a licensed nursing assistant at a local nursing home. Then advanced to becoming Director of client services for The Stevens Center Adult Day Care 1999-2006. Heather Graduated from Granite State University in 2005 with an Assoc. Degree in Behavioral Science specializing in Geriatric Care Management.
