....18 September 2026 …read more.... My friend and I stopped by the Walker ( Honey ) Farm to purchase some honey for his return trip to Tallahassee. My friend is a former resident of Fort Myers and is familiar with the Walker Farm. This was my first visit. My friend made his purchase and , not knowing there are various flavors of honey until now , I decided to try some. I tried the Black Mangrove honey and the Orange Blossom honey. There are other flavors but I liked the Black Mangrove and purchased a small bottle for $27.50 There are larger bottles for $50.00. The Bees are on site and the honey is produced and sold there in a little rickety wooden frame house. The owner Buddy Walker , a cantankerous BUT pleasant young fellow , ( he's 82 ) greeted us as we entered the store. I admired the beautiful Palm Tree in front of the store and asked Buddy what was the name of that Palm Tree. He said he didn't know. As we were pulling out of the lot to leave, Buddy came running out to tell us that he checked and discovered the name of the Palm tree is Bismarck. Now that I know there are various flavors of honey I will return and maybe try another flavor. Can't wait to try this Black Mangrove in my Green Tea. See ya later Buddy

The owners have done an outstanding job creating an upscale farm feeling within the store. Many of the items come from their own farm - loofa, honey, balms, hibiscus drink, elderberry syrup, quail eggs. Plus they have other home items for purchase. Can't imagine how much work they put in to make this all happen. They make their own cinnamon rolls, which people seem to really like. They also offer donuts (don't make in house but there's no donut shop nearby so it's really nice to have this option), muffins, coffee/tea, and a few breakfast items like biscuits & gravy and chicken salad on croissant. they even offer a gluten-free muffin option, which was a nice offering. btw - appreciated the cute to go packaging for food we bought, which could easily be cut to trim expenses but made our purchase feel special. Their prices are quite reasonable and sizing is good. They're only open Thurs-Sat. Was happy to see a packed house during our visit. They've made their shop into a bit of a destination with patio seating out front (couple people were out there enjoying coffee), patio seating out back (some families and kids were out there eating & checking out the chickens), a communal table to eat indoors (people were sitting there having breakfast) and even a hay ride around the farm that was pretty full with people. The owner and gals who work there are quite lovely. Really glad they seem to be doing well and hope their success continues. Would recommend checking it out even if you don't live nearby. Would be a fun adventure with little kids or a nice opportunity to try a new coffee shop as a couple or with the ladies.

Especially that Black and White Cow bench in front of the store! On a week night, after our dinner at Café Brazil, we walked over and explored this grocery store. It is modest in size but with the next-door Brazilian bakery, it offers rows and rows of items you may need for your churrasco or delicious snacks for your sweet treats. There is a small fresh produce section as well as a wine section where you can find some of hard-to-get ingredients. In the back, you can find selection of meats like Picanha (rump cap), Alcatra (top sirloin), Fraldinha (flank), and including Brazilian sausages suitable for grilling. By the front counter, you can international money transfer. The staff is friendly and attentive. Aisles are clean and well organized. We picked up a bottle of red wine and piece of cake, bolo de leite ninho c/Nutella or Nido Cake with Nutella. This is a great place to explore Brazilian food culture!

I love these types of local eateries, and I would have liked to have been able to give a higher star-rating but my food was just mediocre. I had an egg salad sandwich on toasted white bread. It was served with a small bag of Lays potato chips, and choice of pasta salad or cole slaw. I opted for the pasta salad. The egg salad and the pasta salad both had the same characteristic - very runny. Thus, my 3-star rating. My husband had french fries with his lunch which were delicious! They were the crinkle cut ones and cooked just to perfection! Optional indoor or outdoor seating. There's a little produce market on-site and I was thrilled to find Dakin Farms Chocolate milk!
