    Mixed Vegetable

We had a terrible experience ordering through Curry House on Uber eats. Food was delivered in cheap plastic containers that melted and curry got all over our house. Mixed vegetables tasted frozen with no flavor. Naan was burnt. They also charged us for something that they were out of and I had to be the one to seek out a refund. This was a while ago and I wish I sought out a full refund. It took an awesome experience at Tandori Bites last night to remind me I never left this place a bad review.

Finally got in to "check it out"! Went in for lunch but really was an early dinner due to the menu. We were the only patrons @ this time; outside street parking, competent service in a clean environment. Now on to the menu items ordered as shown in my pics. The food was good, definitely "Indian" flavors! The Rice was outstanding, flavorful Sauces and the Naan was very fresh and tasty. Not particularly happy with the Vegetable Samosas, texture as well as flavor but maybe the meat ones are better. My only criticism would be the portion sizes for the price charged.

This is Mom & Pop Indian Curry Dining which is Straightforward with No frills. I see the premise or concept as, "The Ambiance is what you make it. Let Our Food do the talking." And this is what this place is, I'd call it an Indian Restaurant/Dive with excellent food that is worth the drive to little Ferndale. Each meal comes with Soup, Rice, Naan bread, and raita. They have vegetarian options too. Which is a Deal in comparison to my last Indian restaurant experience in West Seattle which was so not worth the High Tab I paid, and the diarrhea I had from it for the following 2 days. This place is way better in all ways than my previous experiences elsewhere. I had the Lamb Vindaloo which tasted and felt homemade. I feel like I could be Anthony Bourdain exploring Indian Cuisine in small town America and as I am I am extremely surprised and delighted I have just found a hidden gem. As I finish, I'm sipping on Chai Tea with Coconut milk while dipping into a little bowl of Kheer which I simply describe as A rice pudding with Cardamon. Life is naturally Good, ultimately it's what we make it. This, I will qualify that the food here is Good, if not extremely Good. The rest is up to you and what you make of it.

Just wanted to warn you guys about the horrible interaction I had with the Curry house today. I have a friend in town and wanted to order curry for her to try, she's never had it before. I ordered our usual, two orders of butter chicken and two orders of garlic naan. Usually it's been great, but today when we got home and opened it up to eat, the naan bread was completely burnt and tasted burnt, and the butter chicken was horrible. I paid $40 dollars for this order, so I decided to call them and let them know. The daughter answered the phone and you could tell the dad, who I am pretty positive is also the owner, was in the background telling her what to say. She said "if you come in next night maybe we'll fix it" then she says "oh we can give you one free naan" which is like $8. The entire order was just didn't taste well, which isn't my usual experience, so I reached out, and was told they "might" fix it if I come back and order and pay again....or that they could give me "free naan" which they burnt regardless and should've fixed. Then the owner I presume, comes on the phone and tells me that he can't help me and that he can offer me 20% off for the next time when I come back and order again...I let him know I felt that was highly inappropriate and not a way to treat repeating customers and he hung up on me...I am NOT HAPPY. I do not advise going there. They treated us horribly and did not make the experience right. I ended up paying $40 for burnt food. Hanging up on customers, being rude, and not willing to make your screw ups right is definitely how you drive a business into the ground. I was very kind and just wanted them to make it right. I cannot believe how inappropriate they were. I think people forget that although it is a privilege to be able to afford to eat out, that we work hard to earn the money we do have, to be able to eat out. I shouldn't have to pay for food that is burnt and tastes gross, and to be treated the way we were and to receive the customer service we did....lost our business.

Chkn malai over saag paneer over rice over butter naan. Topped with mint chutney and raita :)

The menu was great, lots of items you can order pizza, pasta, and Indian! I got a few dishes, and I was happy with them all. A vegetarian bistro and we had just been talking about trying more vegetarian dishes? Why not? As the name suggests, it is small and quaint, buried in a strip mall and one of those "blink and you'll miss it" places. The decor reminded me of a contemporary restaurant where everything is chosen based on their ease of ability to be cleaned (and for the record, the place was clean), with enough seats to sit about 15 people, and I may be rounding up. We were the second table to enter and we were greeted promptly and given the menus. Perhaps I was misled by the restaurant name and did not really know what to make of the meat dishes that I saw: Beef burger? Chicken Nuggets and Fries? Crispy Chicken Burger? I saw nothing to indicate they were the vegetarian version of chicken nuggets or beef burgers, and about 2/3 of the menu was vegetarian or vegan options, so I surmised they must have put a few meat options there to satisfy any meat eaters that wander through the door. I settled on the Spaghetti with Veggie Balls and the boyfriend ordered the Veggie Curry. The pasta was quite filling (included garlic bread) and I discovered the veggie balls and/or sauce was a tad above my spiciness tolerance level, and was even spicier than the Veggie Curry. In hindsight, I wasn't surprised: it is my personal experience that a lot of the times a vegetarian dish will have a lot of spices added in. Chalk it up to not reading the ingredients carefully and thinking things through. In terms of service, I thought it was great. Water glasses were filled regularly, the waitress checked up on us to ask how we were enjoying the food. I would be very interested in coming back and trying other items on the menu!

I can't speak for the other stuff on the menu and to be honest I'm not a huge fan of vegan food, but I think we lucked out and the soup of the day was a creamy smoked fish type of chowder and it was SOOOO GOOD. Next time I'll make sure to call in to see when they serve this chowder again!!! Also... the salad. Fresh ingredients and they were so accommodating to sub beets with sprouts since my husband can't have beets . Their dressings are made in house I believe and it tastes so good - especially the creamy sesame one and also the ginger honey dressing! To die for!!!! Totally a game changer when added to the salad. And finally the yummy crispy, buttery garlic toast pieces that come with the soup and salad is just heavenly... I am salivating just thinking about it. Prices were extremely fair! Please don't increase the price - it's just right!!! I'd come Back in a heartbeat for the soup and salad. Few improvements could Be: slow service and sticky floors. So that's for the one star knockoff otherwise it would've been 5 stars for sure!!! Portions were generous!!!!
