Well, sir, it happened here. A dermotologist had recommended I see Dr. Sarah Neitzel for podiatric care and I had my PCP send a referral to her. When the office called to schedule an appointment I was told I'd be seeing her partner, Dr. Jarod Spencer instead. I agreed to the change. This is why it always pays to be open-minded. The office visit with Dr. Spencer was superb. Very friendly guy with an easy manner who really knows his stuff. We talked about the foot thing I had an issue with a slightly-regrown ingrown toe nail He gave me several options including two options for cutting the nail thing out. We agreed I'd try the options and then follow up in a couple of months. Have you ever been given new info and felt your brain expand with that new knowledge? Only me, huh? Well then, OK, let's continue. Anyway, my brain expanded after absorbing that new information. But THE best thing about my appointment with Dr. Spencer? Not once did he leave the exam room to check on other patients waiting in other exam rooms. I've gone to two single doctor podiatry practices where the one guy would be bopping back and forth between several rooms. So not only are you waiting for the guy to come back and finish whatever he started, you worry and hope that the guy remembers who YOU are and what your situation is and doesn't confuse you with another patient. I've had a past podiatrist say to me upon his return to the room, "OK, where were we? Oh yes..." Those guys are hyped up to begin with because they have to be in order retain sufficient energy (and hopefully mental focus) throughout the day--every day. Dr. Spencer was calm, friendly and professional. He was at ease which put me at ease--and this was our first visit. So, from now on, he's my guy. And since I've got various foot issues, it's comforting to know I found a great podiatrist I can trust, and well deserves this five-star rating.

Dr. Chang was able to help my father in laws with an ulcer on the ball of his foot that would not…read morego away. We took him to so many physicians who would bandage it and apply ointments or some other thing they promised that would "definitely take care of it". One of the doctors eventually referred us to a clinic that supposedly specialities in healing open blisters like this. They told us because of his diabetes he would have a hard time closing the dang thing up. After about 10 visits there we gave up. My wife said it might be smart to take him into a doctor that specialized in feet and that's how found Dr. Chang with some googling. Boy I'll tell you it couldn't have been easier working with him and the clinic. The front desk gal (Lori?) is a hoot and really helpful and Dr. Chang did a great job of sitting us down to go over the different options we had. Eventually after trying some basic options he used this special type of band-aid made from the same stuff babies are held in during pregnancy (or something like that, he explained it A LOT more thorough in person lol) and lo and behold that sucker closed up in just over two months. SO GRATEFUL for this guy. We've been trying to get my wife's dad some relief for months now and Dr. Chang really pulled through. Thank you thank you.

She had reasons why, but it took quite a few months before she finally took an x-ray that showed a bone hanging low causing the pain. So then she had to go back in and screw the bone up where it belonged. She wasn't happy about it I felt like it was my fault. She turned defensive. A few years later I started having pain on top of my foot. Arthritis had gotten so bad I needed to think about fusing my foot. My feet were hurting so bad from the arthritis I wore sandals with a lot of very spongy support. They were sandals that had a lot of straps and they made it easier to walk. I went back to Dr O'Rourke to see her and she was furious at me for wearing the sandals. That was all she could focus on. So I decided not to see her anymore. Then she retired. And also sent me a copy of a letter she wrote to put in my file. It was very vindictive,, said I don't heal well, I am a bad patient and I wore sandals. She mentioned the straps but still it was very bad. . I was shocked that she took the time to write such a letter. Very unprofessional. But I thought well, she is retiring and that is a good thing. I was surprised how double sided she was. I hope she has a happy retirement- it was time.
