Was all fine but unfortunately only one woman working and I wanted to try the new flights and when I told her what I wanted she acted like I was an issue for asking for that and proceeded to have an attitude the rest of the time I was there and since I was tasting them some weren't my favorite so of course I didn't drink them but that's ok I went expecting to possibly not like them all but I brought the cups back to the counter and she acted like I was ridiculous for not drinking them all will definitely stick with the leechburg location.

(before starsucks) for 11 years and prefer juicy bright floral light roasts with no use for bad coffee roasted to give it some kind of flavor eve if just smoke and bitterness. but i'm a gambler so i gave it a shot. ok.. so Coal is an apt name for this coffee joint as the coffee IS dark - however - and this is a big however - i was very pleasantly surprised. Their drip was smokey and roasty toasty but also a bit bright with a smooth finish. dark chocolate. it would have been great with some coconut milk and maple syrup but it didn't need anything added at all. it was delicious on its own as a rich full bodied drip brew. again not my preferred estate varietal with berries and citrus notes, but it' was very very good. good coffee. it tasted like coffee. like very good coffee. now the espresso was even more impressive as while it carried the same Coal vibe it was actually more milk chocolate and really one of the best 2nd wave / Italian style espressos i've ever had. I love espresso and my preferred method is to make it myself at home on my fully manual Flare 2 Pro. Coal Coffee espresso is on par with the best coffee houses in the country - and i say that as this week marks me opening mine 30 years ago (April 1996). I highly reccomend getting an espresso with as little milk as you can enjoy espresso with - for me none. I didn't have a chance to check out anything else on the menu but i shall return as this is the best coffee within 50 miles that i know of. oh and the staff was really kind and accommodated all my weird coffee guy ticks.

The shop itself is very cute and sells various snacks and bottled drinks along with bubble tea. I ordered the taro tea with tapioca and enjoyed the tea itself, although it was a bit sweet for me so next time I would get it with slightly less sweetness. The boba however was not the best and seemed to be undercooked. There only seemed to be one lady working there when I went so it could've just been a one time thing but either way, I would still come back to try out some other flavors.

Both offer sandwiches, soups, salads, and coffee/tea drinks, this spot also has crepes. I came here because it seemed like the faster option of the two. I grabbed a few drinks to go, they were okay. I was a little surprised that their lattes seem to come with oat milk by default? Thankfully they were able to accommodate me with another option. At the register they had a separate paper menu with additional options that aren't online. My drink was just okay, but they seem to be more known for their food, specifically their sandwiches. I intended to grab something small but the pastry case was empty even though it was still pretty early. The space was a little on the sterile side with a brown and gray color scheme and florescent lighting but I did like the flowers used as decor in the space, and apparently their tables are custom made by a local carpenter!
