The Furniture Guys had EXACTLY what I wanted and the price was right. We purchased the sofa and are very, very happy with it. 6 months later and we need a new mattress and as we all know MATTRESS SHOPPING SUCKS! I made the typical rounds with the well known major bed retailers. I had two sales people literally follow me out of the store and I thought one guy was going to break out in tears when I left. It was awful. We found a memory foam with gel mattress at the Furniture Guys that we liked earlier in the day. We found others that we liked as well, however the price was usually more than double of what we liked at the Furniture Guys place. We went back, tired and hungry after making the rounds and tried the bed out again and decided to take it. This was on a Saturday afternoon and they said they could deliver it that day! I wasn't expecting anything before Monday so that was a bonus. The delivery guy didn't show up until 7:00pm that night but they did get the bed there. Sunday morning I wake up at 4:00am in back pain agony. I was convinced that I could not sleep on that bed and went back to the store to find out what my options would be. The receipt he gave me the day before was for someone else, so we got that switched out. George was very patient with me and listened to my concerns. He explained that going from a coil bed to memory foam will take some adjustment and the mattress will become less firm with use. He suggested that we give it a little time and if we were still unhappy he would make it right. I took him at his word and lo and behold slept like a baby the second night! However, in looking at my receipt after we got home, I noticed that I was overcharged by $53.00. I called George and he issued a credit right over the phone. I do believe it was just an honest mistake and he was quick to fix it. I totally recommend this place and I will return in the future for sure. Love the couch and the mattress. My family's purchased bedroom and living room sets from them going back 20 years, so when I learned that they were opening a showroom in the Bay area, I was very excited. That showroom opened recently and did not disappoint. For those who have never been to an El Dorado Furniture showroom, prepare yourself - it can be a little overwhelming. Though the St Pete location is smaller than any of the South Florida locations, it still feels immense and labyrinthine, with long, winding rooms full of pieces organized by styles. For example, one enormous room will feature Italian-inspired modern design, while another will spotlight their Transitional-style pieces, and yet another will highlight their classically ornate furniture pieces. We actually visited the store during their soft opening, a week prior to their Grand Opening. Our salesperson, Luis Vallejo, was extremely helpful in guiding us through the various rooms and eventually to the bedroom set we decided to purchase. Some other things to know going in: 1) This is most certainly NOT IKEA. It's not cheap, it's not made of manufactured wood, and it WILL last. Consider: our bedroom set before this purchase came from El Dorado as well, was purchased in 2006, has survived several moves and will continue to serve as our guest room bedroom furniture; 2) There's a 5% charge for delivery; and 3) delivery personnel assemble everything, if it doesn't already come installed.
