Insanely delicious food from Cumin. We go out of our way to get take-home meals regularly and are never disappointed. The dal was hearty, not the thin broth you get from some restaurants. We also had veggie tikka masala and chicken korma, vegetable pakoras, cheese naan and basil pesto naan. The servings were large enough that we got two satisfying meals out of it and everything was so tasty that we had a hard time not eating it all in one sitting. We'll be back. read more

This little gem specializes in Himalayan and Nepalese cuisines. Two very nice young men as our waiters; we had the mixed veggie appetizer plate, which is small enough to not impose on the main courses, but does offer three different appetizer tastes. Prices are reasonable. We shared the sizzling platter for two -- an excellent choice as it comes with chicken, fish, lamb or goat (we didn't have those as I don't eat those meats). Tandoori chicken, a whitefish battered and fried in sauce, salmon Tikka Masala, and two dessert balls that reminded me of rum babas but with no rum. Naan and rice included. Wonderful flavorful food in a relaxed setting . This hidden gem sits in a small center behind the Flamingo Hotel. Soothing music and enticing smells greet you. The owner is very personable and was very helpful explains different items on the menu. This restaurant offers so many vegetarian items and lots of choices including seafood, lamb, goat and chicken. Daal was light on flavor and the naan was tasty but not crispy. If I was craving Indian and had no other nearby option, totally fine. My girlfriend and I went to have lunch at Cumin Restaurant on Friday afternoon. What a treat that was! The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the vegetable pekora for an appetizer. It was so great. We also ordered the chicken tika masala, garlic nan, and the eggplant dish. All of them were so delicious. They are working on obtaining their liquor license, so I had to skip having a Taj beer with lunch. The service was great, and our server was very friendly. I actually ended up falling asleep on the chair while waiting. I asked how much long and they said "you're next, a couple minutes" after 50 minutes. Server was rude. What a great little place. Based on the initial feedback from fellow Yelpers, we decided to grab some takeout when we had a yen for Indian... and we fell in love. Fresh, flavorful, and with real heat when you ask for it! We've been back three more times, both for takeout and dine-in (including a delicious Christmas Day dinner). We've tried a number of dishes, and been delighted by each one. Some favorites: Paneer Chilli Masala, Daal Makhni, Aloo Gobi, Lamb Vindaloo. I would love to see them add Pani Puri and Bhelpuri to the menu, since I get intense cravings for both. read more

Lately when I go to Indian food I I feel like there is always something missing but every single bite so far at Cumin has been wonderful - and I've even ordered as delivery and it still is great! I had been here for takeout a couple times and enjoyed the food and the staff. So much so that I arrainged to have our company party there. I had emailed and phoned with the owner to discuss menu options and she quoted me between $650-$750. I told her that I thought that sounded a bit low and to recheck her numbers. The day of the party we confirmed that there would be 22 of us and she said it may be a little more than she quoted. We showed up and saw they had set up a little buffet for us for entres and began to slowly bring out appitizers. Appitizers took a bit over an hour to bring out, dropping off one or two pakoras to each person, then one samosa each 20 minutes later. They provided paper cups for chai. While the hour plus appitizer service went on, our dinner sat in hot pans with sterno fire beneath. We finally got to the mains that had been sitting. While we were eating the overcooked food the owner tapped me on the shoulder and asked if she could speak to me. I went with her and she proceeded to tell me that the total was more than she had quoted, I asked how much and she said $2500 - that's $113 per person without drinks or dessert. I told her that it seemed a bit high and it was three times what she quoted for the buffet. I then proceeded to give her my credit card and paid the $2511.70. I followed up with an email that they didn't respond to. I highly suggest you reconsider any large partys or catering with them. They just aren't set up for it and the communication isn't good at all. We could have gone to someplace a lot better for that kind of money. Unfortunatly the experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be returning. read more

It is across from the flamingo at the end of farmers. Clean, attentive service and gracious too. Went for the lunch special....I so prefer this over a buffet anytime. Everything was delicious, fresh, spiced just right. We got medium,,,could have even been a tad bit spicier...but delish. My lunch consisted of two nice pakoras with two chutneys, basmati rice, aloo gobi and nan no ghee. Fabulous Daughter had chicken tika, and same sides. For the amazing price of $9.99 each. I cannot sing enough praises. Generous and tasty. So please let us support this great place and give it a try. Def my new lunch go to spot.
