One word to describe this park is "GREENSPACE." This park spans about 40 acres and is primarily fields on top of fields. They are home to Mudsock Junior Athletics. They have a bunch of designated soccer fields, but the fields can be used for other activities such as football, ultimate frees-bee, kite flying or playing catch. You have to take a bridge to get to the back fields.
The park is also home to a nine-hole disc golf course and a small 1/2 mile paved walking trail. The trail is nice and borders mud creek and has benches placed along the route. The disc golf course, which is the only Fisher's Park course, is along the creek, so good luck keeping your disc out of the drink.
You will also find a couple of picnic tables with a grill located under some trees along the trail. There is also a shelter facility with picnic tables under it and a built in restroom facility.
The park has a decent amount of parking and is tucked away in the middle of two neighborhoods. It is well maintained and looks great.
This park does not have any playground equipment and most of its utility, at least while I was there, was people letting their dogs roam free. This is an excellant park to go to if you are looking for space. It is also a decent place to host a small to medium soccer tournament. read more
