All of a sudden our apparently very fragile laundry schedule was thrown into chaos. Worse yet our go-to local appliance business was suddenly incapable of doing anything to help us. Their service staff apparently only show up when they feel like it and fix things only when its convenient for them. After a couple very frustrating weeks full of excuses and delays we asked the internet for referrals. The name people came up with the most was Mr. Appliance. We gave them a call and they had someone at our house less than 24 hours later. They quickly diagnosed the issue, repaired it, and had us back up and running in no time. The technician was friendly, helpful, fast, and clearly knew what he was doing. Rest assured the next time we have an appliance issue we will be calling Mr. Appliance.

The first time (3-4 years ago) we called a competitor to Langland's and after 2 hours they gave up and said it was not repairable. We called Langland's and even though they were super busy, they found the time to come out. Literally took them 30 minutes to get our AC back up and running. The second time (today) we didn't waste our time calling someone else. This repair was a bit more work but once again the were quick, professional, and didn't mess around. Our home is cool and it's occupants are happy. As long as Langland's is in business they will be the only place in Brookings we call for heating or cooling issues.

The first time I was appliance shopping here a few days ago, the salesman was extremely abrupt and angry when I politely mentioned their competitor's price. If you can't meet that price, just politely tell me why. Now today a completely different salesman helped me. This time I had my toddler with. He was being a normal 2 year old and wanted to explore the store. Rather than the salesman just walking with us and continuing to answer my questions, he just stayed put over by the appliance we were discussing, and his nonverbals toward us were offensive. He clearly did not want my toddler in his store. For the record, not that that it should even matter, but My son was not screaming or throwing a tantrum or hurting anything. I contacted Perrys Electric about installing a mini split system in my house. They came to look at…read moremy property, we come up with a basic plan and they gave me a quote. Once I accepted their quote they were able to order the equipment and start the install. The equipment took about two weeks to arrive and they were able to start the installation process right away. The overall time it took them to install the mini split system, which consisted of the outdoor unit and three indoor units, was three days. I was very surprised at how quick the equipment came in and how fast they were able to get it installed. The quality of the installation was excellent and they were able to run and install everything the way I envisioned. They also cleaned up very well after themselves. All the technicians were very knowledgeable about the system and were able to answer any questions that I asked them. The only negative thing I have to say about them is that they were not the best at keeping the customer up to date or giving them information about the system without the customer having to ask for it themselves. The negative comment is a personal one that I felt, but might not matter for other customers. I am just a person that likes to know what is going on and how to take care of proper maintenance tasks, so I am always asking questions. As long as the customer comes up with all questions beforehand to ask them about the system, then there will be no issue at all as they are extremely knowledgeable about their work. Overall I would give them 4.5 stars due to the lack of information given to me without having to ask for it. Going off of their installation alone gives them 5 stars and I would recommend them to anyone.
