But I didn't feel concerned for my safety at all. Just the usual exterior train station shenanigans. Beautiful lobby with a nice bar and plenty of lounge space. Lovely staff. So helpful. Great rate for a big clean room. Huge bathroom. Nice Nespresso machina. The pool is quite lovely. Of course this changes in a minute when the crappy guests show up. I took advantage of both Hammam and sauna. REALLY enjoyed until previously mentioned crap guests joined. Oh well. Always the case. No fault of hotel. What is their fault is that hallways outside room stink, like hot rotten eggs. So gross. Probably old carpets. My only real complaint!

I love the Horta Grand Café!…read more When I first moved to Belgium, my first taste of Belgian food was at the Horta (in fact my first visit was my first evening in Belgium). I specifically chose the most Belgian items on the menu - shrimp kroketten and steak tartare paired with Belgian beer - and fell in love with the cuisine. The food is always delicious! I've been many times and have never been disappointed.
