I never even had heard of this national park before. The trails aren't intense at all and there are some opportunities to see bison. Absolutely loved their small gift shop. It had lots of cool things and even a small video showing for visitors to watch. I'd like to visit the South unit one day.

Wow!! This site is very remote but it was incredibly rewarding. Got there at seven in the morning…read moreand immediately saw a buffalo. Drove a couple miles into the park and there was a herd of buffalo crossing the road. Also spotted wild horses and turkeys. Beautiful scenery as well!!
