Es un chiringuito con estilo y arte, mucho más que un chiringuito!!! It's owned by a former Mr. Universe 2008 but unfortunately he wasn't around when I went there, just his brother and his dad. I love the "camas Balinesas", we sat in one of the Balinese canopy beds and did nothing but just eat, drink, and chillax for the whole day. Staring at the ocean with my favorite Nolasco song in the background and having a glass of tinto de verano with my favorite friends was so priceless!! I was extremely happy with my impulsive decision to come to Costa del Sol at the last minute, coming here really paid off all the hard work I've done for the past few months. This is exactly what I wanted to do!!! To savor the true summer vacation! ¡Olééééééé! Compared to other chiringuitos, this one is more expensive (Expect to spend about 30 Euros) but I recommend splurging!! How often are you in Torremolinos anyways?? Just do it! Even football celebrities like Iker Casillas come here! They make the best "espetos de sardinas", which are skewered sardines roasted over the open fire garnished with sea salt, very typical Andalucian local dish. We also ordered a various fried seafood and shared amongst ourselves. I love their mojitos, the Spanish version contains less alcohol and more fruity than what you get in the States, which is perfect for a light-weight drinker like me. Torremolino beach itself is just OK, the water is cold and not that clear, and the sand is dark and contains lots of pebbles, which I don't like. But for a day in Copacabana, I'll gladly come back to Torremolinos!!!

More than a beach city in the south of Spain…read more Yes, it does have 16 beaches, one in the city center. But does offer way more than lazy sunny days relaxing on the beach. It is the birthplace of Pablo Picasso. And full of various cultural sites. I suggest an early morning hike up to Gibralfaro Castle, as the path is not fully shaded and the line for entry can get long. It is one of the largest Arab fortresses in the area. From here you can look out to the Mediterranean, the historic old city and Plaza de Toro de la Malagueta bull ring. On the back side back down in the city is a fabulously preserved Roman theater, the city museum, and the Cathedral de la Encarnation. The entire day can be spent wandering this great old area, with a few stops at small cafes for a snack and occasional coffee or sangria. Food and drink here are affordable and delicious. For unique and incredible fresh grilled seafood, head back down to the beach and enjoy the grilled sardines on skewers.

The ride was about 12 minutes going around 3 times. They also stop the wheel for a few seconds when you get to the top to allow time to take it the views.

At night it's lit up beautifully and the pictures that I have seen of Holy Week and Christmas shows this street fully decorated with lights for the Holidays. It's a great place for any tourist to stroll during the day or night to enjoy the liveliness of the Malaga people.

(From the Moscatos and Pedro Ximenez Grapes). You can also get a Semi-Sweet or Dry. We had a mix of orders. I went for the Semi-Sweet and it was quite sweet. 20% ABV so made for sipping. Vermouth is also available. For Tapas, we had Tuna Tartare and Cheese Skewers which were delicious. The Spiced Pepper started out mild and had a spicy finish. Service was quick and friendly. A must stop Bodega (oldest in Malaga) for the House-made Wine and local Bar/flavor experience. Salud!

Even those in my family who were not fans of seafood enjoyed this dish. Our group then went into the market and had some samples of olives, almonds and figs. It was excellent. We then travelled for the Charcuterie plate and some vermouth and manzanilla. My choice was the manzanilla but the rest of the family enjoyed the vermouth. The Iberian ham and cheese were wonderful. We walked some more and went to the Malaga-centric food and wine restaurant--Eme Mariano. The red wine was excellent. We paired this with a Gazpachuelo--- fish soup--which was velvety in texture. We followed this with the best croquetas de jamón I have had during my time in Spain. A little further walk and we went to El Chinitas for red and white wine sampling. The fried eels was scrumptious followed by a mini-sandwich of Iberian pork shoulder. Again, excellent. On our tour we had two people from Latvia, two from Wales and six from the US. We shared our food adventures as well as our Spain highlights. I highly recommend this tour!

I'm glad we booked it as our guide have us the ins/outs, history, and must try places. In addition to the different food, wine, and experience. This is a must do when you first come to Malaga. They will give a lot of advice on which restaurants to go, which are tourist traps, and what to do. I can't recall but we went to 7 different restaurants to try the delicacies of Malaga along with wine.
