My issue was not with the requirement itself, but with the fact that nobody mentioned it when I initially inquired about renting. Had I known beforehand, I could have prepared accordingly. The test contained technical boating questions that many people with little or no boating experience would not reasonably know. When I asked why this requirement had not been disclosed earlier, the employee's response was to call me "crazy" rather than provide a professional explanation. I was also told about a mandatory 10% tip before I had even booked the jet ski or received any service. Being presented with a required tip upfront, combined with the lack of communication about the boating test, felt misleading and unprofessional. Customers deserve to be treated with respect when asking legitimate questions. A simple explanation would have gone a long way. the lack of unprofessional behavior left a very negative impression of this company brand of jetski rentals. Do not recommend.

Similar to a car you need to be 16 to drive one so my 11 year old daughter was on the back of mine and my 6 and 9 year old sons joined my husband. We met Dominic at the Pioneer Park- boat ramps in Deerfield Beach. Please note that this location is different than the address on the Yelp review since we were a bit confused ourselves. We started off slow getting used to the jet skis and also admiring the beautiful homes on the intercoastal. Then for about 30-45 minutes we got to go as fast as we could zipping over massive waves and holding on for dear life. I thought we were speed demons, but my thrill seeking daughter kept yelling at me that I wasn't going fast enough. My 9 year old son did fall off the back of my husband's jet ski, but he claimed that was the most fun part of the excursion. .And Dominic was nearby the entire time to help out in these situations and more, but overall we felt very safe. 1.5 hours was perfect and everyone had a great time. Good luck getting 2 Jet Skiis, EVER: I've had 4 reservations in a row in which one of my two Skiis were cancelled due to limited availability. 2. Be careful with your Sales Person: When I originally signed up to JetRide I was told a weekend reservation is about 2-weeks out. The reality is that you need to plan at least 4-5 weeks in order to get a weekend reservation. 3. Fuel costs: I strongly believe JetRide is overcharging in fuel regularly. I've had 3-4 hour boat rides cost me $25 and a 1.5-hour boat ride cost me $40. They are always unhelpful when I call to confirm the amount of gas used. 4. You can often book a book last minute if you call JetRide. A lot of people cancel last minute, so if you call in, there is a good chance they'll have a boat available. However, this still makes it difficult to coordinate with friends. Overall, I've enjoyed my membership, but I won't be renewing once my contract is over. I've seen how several of my friends boat clubs are ran and JetRide has some room for improvement. Tip for the JetRide team: 1. Train your Sales Reps to be upfront and honest about lead times. 2. Provide the gas bill at the time of returning the boat, not days later. 3. Provide better customer service when boats are canceled or a member is inquiring about a service. I always receive a "we'll get back to you" message and then nobody ever reaches back out.
