Anyone in a service industry (such as myself) knows how important it is to be professionally presented, and a great hair style is a big part of that - apart from the fact that having less bad hair days just makes me feel that little bit happier and more confident. But combine work with family and life and who has time to spend ages in the morning styling hair?
Not me, anyway, which is one of the reasons I LOVE Cube - its a small one-stylist business, which means its lovely and quiet and private, and you can even bring in babies and kids, so no more needing a babysitter while you get your haircut... The owner-operator Lyndall is a fantastic stylist and has the magic ability to always cut my hair in such a way that it is quick and easy to deal with in the mornings AND continues to look great as it grows out (she knows I won't bother styling it, so she doesn't "fluff" with products, she just colours and cuts it expertly - the years of experience show in her work). Add to that the ability to have the lovely Lyndall's full attention (no annoying apprentice chatting away inanely in the background or hairdressers having indecently personal conversations over your head and completely and rudely ignoring you etc), and those extra little touches like a coffee while I wait, and this is by far my favourite place to be when getting a hair cut... Hair cuts used to be a stressful experience for me, now they are so relaxing I have to warn Lyndall I might fall asleep :) Would do it every week if I could... read more
