Sitting here on a winter day with the sun warming and looking out over the harbor makes it extra memorable. With the excellent food and service it gets fantastic. We ordered fresh whole San Pedeo fish (they bring out all of today's fish for you to view) and they grilled the body and fried the head. Making it two meals in one. An excellent seafood restaurant near the port in San Jose. The meal began with the waitress bringing a tray of the fish available that day and between my broken spanish and her broken english we eventually settled on a fish she called a small merluza, pescadilla, I think. I was alone and the waitress suggested a small salad that was not on the menu to complete the meal. The house wine was good and a tiramisu casero was excellent. The only small complaint is that the restaurant was busy and could have used more waitstaff. read more
