Following the fence, I have had a raised shed base with a retainer for a soil bank done and am delighted by that result too. Darren is a very friendly chap and he has a "can do" attitude, who talks through your various options and he backs this up by doing the job with hard graft, speed and to a very high standard. Indeed, he and his brother Dean are both hard workers. They arrived when they said they would and worked as late as was necessary to complete the work. Unbelievable all this builder put us through, took our money and left behind a very poor job - leaving us to pay even more to put things right (we aren't the only customers he treated this way and I can name names. He made a plan to do our work in 2 months beginning August 2016 and after 9 months (May 2017) still not complete. He was given ample opportunity to make it right, still building control could not approve his work. He has every excuse in the book, including that it's our fault. I can list 7 people who this builder has either not completed (yet taken the money), messed up their job that cost £thousands to put right (we are one of those) or did work for him and were never paid. And if know of that many then there are surely more! Last straw for us was the May visit from the building inspector and his "findings". The builder was informed ahead of this inspection and encouraged to attend so he could answer any questions but did not, he had other priorities, per usual. He should not be in business. Also see reviews on Rated People. Seems he has left London now to work in the West Country, he's removed Construction and Great Basement from Yell to hide the very poor reviews by myself and others.

1st Call Roofing came out and replaced what they said were broken tiles, even though they also said…read morethere was no sign of water ingress. They said it looked like the problem was actually mossy gutters so they cleaned the gutters. And charged £300. The issue got worse. I had to threaten them to get them back. They came back and said it was now a blocked downpipe. So how come they didn't see that in the first place. And that I should replace the gutters and they couldn't do that for £300. Meanwhile I had another roofer look and he said the whole problem was the gutters and he could have cleaned them for £60 but better, replaced them for £170. 1st Call are Rip off merchants.
