They let me browse my suits at my leisure and were attentive in helping me try on what I fancied. The store itself is large and the selection resembles this. They have a variety of suits, from the standard fare of blacks, navy, and greys to some quite flashy and shiny duds. There were two sections of neckties in the back and a variety of shirt selections throughout the store. It's worth noting, however, that the assistant did more than hold the jacket for me while I try it on. While I was browsing ties, he showed me ones of better value and higher quality. So a better product for less than what I was perusing. He did the same again with shirts. I ended up purchasing a nice three piece Italian suit, with a lovely cotton shirt and a black-striped silk tie. This cost me under 180 Euro! Granted, there was a special going on, however it appears that this is a common situation. They also gave me a travel bag and suit jacket hanger. The travel bag is quite impressive and, while not excessively durable, will keep liquids and dirt off your clothes. Best of all, it zips in a fold without causing too much wrinkle or despair to the garments inside. The suit I purchased isn't cheap rubbish. Now it, obviously, isn't of the same cut or quality as some of the 500-700 Euro custom jobs, but it is significantly better than many of the 300-350 Euro suits I've seen in a few of the boutiques and department stores. It seems to be wearing well, as I've set it into my regular rotation and it isn't fraying apart or any other nonsense. Not at all bad combination for the price!

I have a little problem when it comes to TK Maxx - I could literally spend half a day here. I love their homeware section in Balnchardstown it is really big and very well spaced out unlike so many of their stores. They really have everything under one roof in this branch so if you are a bargain hunter I would highly recommend it - the kids section is also very large. Don't be put off if you've been to some of the smaller ones where there is stuff everywhere. Also there is very rarely a Q to pay or for the changing rooms so it really is a nice shopping experience. It is located in one of the little retail parks just off to the side of the shopping centre.

So Blanch is no different. It's always rammed. It has the usual mix of high street shops and cheap eats. It does have an added benefit (depending on your perspective!) of being surrounded by outlets and bigger retail parks as well, so you can do your clothes shopping in the centre, then get your house-y stuff in the bigger ones on the outskirts. If you're into getting all your shopping done at once, and don't mind shopping centres, to be honest, it's not half bad. It does seem to have a greater selection of more 'value' shops than Liffey Valley and Dundrum if you're on more of a budget, which is good. Pro Tip: I have found on two occasions that all the carparks were full except the multi-story one on the Debenhams / M&S side, so if you're having problems finding somewhere to park, give that area a goo.

Because Covet just happens to be a pennywise couture-lover's dream come true. That's because you don't buy anything from this shop, you borrow it. That's right, you can deck yourself out in Valentino, Chanel, Dolce and Gabbana, Rebecca Taylor, Armani, and more for a fraction of the cost that these gowns retail for. Ok, so a fraction might just happen to be hundreds of euros, but that's a lot less than buying the thing. And I think it would absolutely be worth every single cent, because the immaculately curated collection at Covet is spectacularly beautiful and amazing. In addition to dresses, you can borrow handbags and accessories. The gowns are mostly very formal, and would be appropriate for a black tie event or a fancy wedding. Though if you wore a gown from Covet you seriously run the risk of of upstaging the bride. But how fun would it be to have this conversation, just once: "Oh my god, you look amazing! Where'd you get that dress??" "This? Oh it's Chanel, dahling."

I searched on Google : 'rent evening dress rent dublin' and I found COVET. One star for the location : You climb up the stairs and on the top floor of Powerscourt Centre on the left hand side here it is. You wouldn't know what it is, unless you were looking for it. Next door is a hair salon i.e. super practical if you don't want to run around the city looking to get your hair done. One star for the shop : I came into this beautiful boudoir - it sounds just amazing to say that, doesn't it? - and was amazed by the number of dresses hanging around the room. On the right hand side, as you enter the room, you have a immense mirror. You can see yourself head to toe, with heels on ! And I am 5'11''... flat :) One star for the service : I was welcomed by the lady who took care of me. She asked me about the event, the location, and about my idea of the perfect dress. Then we went around the room, she pulled a few dress with my acknowledgement. You could tell she knew what she was talking about, no doubt about her professionalism. Minus one star for the changing room : I agreed to change behind a folding wall. So it wasn't closed. Not that I am shy or anything, but I wish I had had a little more privacy. One star for the dresses : I tried a good selection of evening dresses. They were all to my size and to the floor - hiding my feet. And this surprised because often times I am just being told that I am too tall. Go figure. Anyway, I was given a pair of nude heels to get a better idea of the outfit. The materials were amazing, the designs fantastic, and the colors unbelievable. This shop provides dresses for all kinds of events. Just name it. The one dress I chose was navy blue - I posted a picture :) One star for the accessories : Once my choice was done, the lady offered me to look at earrings to match the dress. I chose a pair of clip blue pendant earrings. You can see them on the picture as well. Price : 190 euros for the dress borrowed for 3 days + earrings (purchased new) The Borrower's Boudoir was the perfect place to go. I found exactly what I was looking for. The fact that I rented the dress was not an issue for me. Next time I go to another fancy event I will want to look different anyway. I highly recommend the place !
