Used this location to complete my tax return this year I had all documents in order so the rep only needed to enter this in computer and was completed in approximately 20 minutes I paid $325.00 and was told I would get the completed package the first week of April Never got it and several calls saying they emailed docs to me never received I would not use this group as they have zero customer care Be Aware Do not use Had to give 1 star. We have used CSI Group in Brick NJ for the last 2 years and can tell you our experience has been wonderful. The staff is always pleasant and friendly from the front desk to the CPA. There prices are pretty much the same you would pay elsewhere. We find them to be very knowledgeable and helpful (giving us advise where needed) and will continue to use their tax services. Always did my taxes myself, and last year decided to have a professional do it, so I made an appointment after hearing Bill Spadea rave about them on 101.5. They got me in within a couple of days, and found some mistakes from last year . Made some suggestions (IRA and health savings account) that I never had on my own. Were cheaper than when I used HR Block some years back. I also call them a few times a year when questions come up, and they never charge me. Great experience.. recommended my whole family to them. Ended up using them to do some estate planning later on, and everyone I dealt with seemed very nice and helpful. read more

Be prepared for lack of communication between you and the person prepping your taxes. The best person we talked to was the lady who informed us we owed $7000 back to IRS. The outcome is not what this is about. It's the lack of professionalism with trying to talk to the CPA about the process. Multiple calls put in and receptionists do everything in their power to not allow it. Promises of return calls broken. Received a phone calll to pick up taxes because they are ready. They inform weekend and weekday hours. Guess what, I'm here 9:30am on Tuesday and they are not open. I called the mainline and they stated: sorry were only open Monday Wednesday and Friday. We heard good things about CSI when it came to preparing Wills. Well we met with an attorney, discussed what we wanted done and left him our existing Wills. 5 weeks have passed and not a word from CSI. I've called a few times but keep getting the Run-around that the lawyer is out sick. (For 5 weeks??) I guess no one else can do the job. We're giving it one more week. If nothing happens by then we plan to get our Wills back and go somewhere else. So at this point we're not happy with the service provided, or lack of service. read more

So I decide to use someone new this year instead of going back to CSI. Doesn't matter which location performed the services. What I needed was in fact a copy of the invoice for services rendered in 2015 for my 2014 taxes. Unnoticed by me was there was no invoice with the copy of my taxes. Shame on me as I am anal when it comes to my record keeping. I get all my papers together to file my 2015 taxes as I know I could do better price wise elsewhere and called CSI groups corporate number in Brick. Spoke with a woman who's name will remain unknown at the moment and she was able to look it up and said I paid $175.00 and I asked if I could have a copy emailed or if that wan't acceptable to be mailed to me? Said wasn't sure but would ask another person. First person was nice enough to call me right back as she'd forgotten and so did I to give her my email address if they were able to do it. I went to do my taxes and I was correct that in order to get the additional discount, yes they would need a copy of the invoice. Since I still wasn't sure if I was able to get said copy I called back while there to inquire. I was rude to and an attitude was give to me when I followed up later to see if I was even going to get said copy because she knew I was somewhere OTHER THAN a csi office. So it appears that regardless if I was bringing my business elsewhere and needed the invoice, I should STILL have said invoice to go with my taxes to SHOW I PAID for something that is actually going to be claimed on my taxes should I ever be audited. Yes, I have been audited and maybe like contributions you can claim a certain amount without proof but that is not the point. I will call again in a while to today to see what is up and I already have a phone call into the NJ dept of consumer affairs to file a complaint about their business practices. UPDATE: So I call back and I am told that I CANNOT GET A COPY of my invoice. Told that they're records don't go THAT FAR BACK, Seriously? I ask about a letter then saying that I paid this amount on so and so day and I'm told WHEN I HAVE THEM do my taxes I can get a copy. I tell them I will be having my taxes done elsewhere this year and I'm told SORRY, I CAN"T help you then. So in reply and it IS TRUE, I have a call into the NJ Consumer Affairs complaint department and a complaint will be made. read more

CSI Group has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Our taxes took three months to complete while numerous phone calls and emails were ignored by James. We ended up having another accountant finish our taxes instead. read more

My complaints are similar to the problem a reviewer in N.Y. Yelp had about CSI. After hearing Jim Gearhart on NJ 101.5 rave about the CSI group doing his taxes, I gave then a try. Last minute, but they said no problem. I met one of the Greccos on the 12th, Very nice man, alone in the Brick office. No receptionist. I had all my tax information categorized. Real simple. My last tax preparer would take all my info, enter it into his tax software and 45 minutes later my taxes are done. I expected the same. Well it's early morning on the 15th and I haven't heard from them! I called and the phone continuously rings. No answering machine, no voice mail, nothing! For any of the numbers I called! How can there be no way to leave a message before hours? Who runs a business that way? I'm worried and go to plan B, but I need all my paperwork (1099's, W2's etc.) back. I finally get a hold of Peter Greco. Very heavy accent. He tells me about my return. My refund is going to be thousands less than last years. Doesn't sound right to me. I tell them to stop, do not file, and I will pick up my folder which he thinks is now in the Red Bank office. He'll call me back. An hour later an office worker tells me I still have to pay to get my paper work back. I tell her fine, she tells me again, I tell her fine again, she tells me a third time and now I'm yelling into the phone, "It's oK I'll pay because I need my folder so someone else can do my taxes today.!" My folder is sent back to Brick by courier. I have a family member pick it up and pay the $400 in hostage money and she drives up to Middlesex county where I work, so I can give it to a new tax preparer. During this time in another phone call, Peter Greco accuse me of using profanity while talking to a receptionist. Joanna you are a liar!!!!I I raised my voice but never, ever, used profanity like your boss did with me. So this is the kind of company we're dealing with. No way I would trust them with investments and wills. And that's the last time I'll believe a paid spokesman from the radio. read more

Unprofessional conduct starting from the top with Peter Greco and down to the person answering the phones. Did not return any of my calls, did not obtain my authorization to file an extension, despite my paperwork being submitted a month in advance. When I finally demanded to speak to Peter Greco, he put me on speaker phone and told me he was too busy to talk to me. I then heard Amanda laughing in the backround.
