Bell'arredamento "legnoso" e minimal q.b., barman (barwoman?) brava e veloce, disposizione dello spazio intelligente con un'area lontano sufficientemente dalla musica per chi vuole anche parlare senza sgolarsi. Was invited to a private event at this venue for an opera showcase…read more Located on the outskirts of Florence, this contemporary opera house stands out with its geometric building style. The place had tight security and smelled of new construction, but I was told all of that was for the private event. But its still under construction, because the original vision was to make it an arts complex with 3 stages. I was seated in the main opera house which seats 1800. The sound was excellent inside the venue. I could see this place becoming 5 stars, once the complex is finished being built.

The sounds and lighting is very good for a performance or a speaker. I've seen both and thought I could hear and see even sitting from the back. The seats, which I think is important, are very comfortable :) once outside of the auditorium there are nice areas to walk through with nice pictures of fashionable and modern art. Bottom line...great place to watch a performance or hear a speaker. This opera is new just about 4 years old so expect a modern and comfortable experience with great seating, good lighting and great speakers so you can get a good show from any seat! I was looking for a place where my daughter could work on grad school applications like she does…read moreback in NY and this place was on ALL the lists that I found online. The first time I popped by, I knew this would be "her" place. With both cozy indoor seating and a welcoming outdoor courtyard, there are plenty of tables for all. The cappuccini are delicious and affordable so there are many students here. We love the staff, too, who are patient while we try to get better at speaking in Italian. There is a stage for evening music events and there is also a food/alcohol menu. We hope to take advantage of both soon!

This location is great for many reasons. They are open when most of the other restaurants are on siesta. They generally have free entertainment on the stage at night. They have a happy hour with a complementary tapas type of snacks to accompany your drink. Did I mention the cool courtyard atmosphere? So this place attracts the urban student or young professional. The food is very adequate and I would rate that 3.5 but the other amenities bring it to 4 for me. I ate here at least 10 times in the three weeks I was in Firenza. I hope this review helps.

The place still looks like a Theatre, with the stage at then bottom and the dance floor completely downhill so be sure to wear your snickers or a pair of flat boots or you won't get through the night! They have now installed 2 bars, one on the dance floor, the other one is bigger and serves cocktails in addition to beer. A box office is right outside the venue and distributes tickets for the upcoming events, whose prices depend on the shows, but usually 5 to 10 €. The place gives room to local bands as well as international ones, djs and students parties. It can also be rented. Overall it's a pretty popular venue for Florentines, very casual, there's a coat room (av. 2 € per piece), a cocktail bar offering regular beers and a few different cocktails (nothing too fancy) and a few sandwiches for late night cravings. Acoustic has always been a red mark and it has not improved in time, but concerts are still fun and not a bit pretentious. Be aware that parking around this area is almost forbidden unless you come early and lines for tickets are up to 45 min. outside (cold or hot weather doesn't matter).
