I would give 0 stars if I could. After 3 months of dealing with Courtney. They charged my card another $500 even when I didn't authorize it and they never found me a nanny! The 4 interviews I had with "nannies" were a joke. I hired crunch care to find me a professional nanny. They told me $22 an hour is the going rate. Then they tried to get me to up it to $28 an hour plus $50 a day to drive my two children to school. Then told me because their school was 20 minutes away they couldn't find anyone to be our nanny. They had me interview 4 people. The first and second have never been a nanny before even though Courtney told me they have been but they both said they only babysat friends kids. When asked why they wanted to be a nanny they both said in different word but that it pays great and nothing else pays that much so why not. The other told me "if you can sit and watch tv with kids all day and not really have to work then thats a great job". The third person showed up to do a trial and then didn't want to work after 5 pm, didn't want to do weekends at all, didn't want to wear a mask during covid and only played board games because she didn't like "going outside". The 4th did an interview from an alley and was crying because her husband just broke into her house and laid in bed with her when she was sleeping. She then said she had to get a restrainer order against him that day and "don't worry because he would never come after my kids but she might need to call me sometimes for advice"! This is the quality of people they brought me for $28 an hour plus their ridiculous fees. From the beginning I stated that I needed someone for the summer and then there would be different hours for when school started. They still haven't found anyone and we have gone back and forth about 40 times and she keeps saying the hours are changing. I told her yes they are because now summer is over and from the first email and conversation I stated that when school starts the hours would change. She wanted me to have someone work from when the kids get dropped off at school and then come to my house for 6 hours until they get home. I told her I didn't want to pay someone 6 hours to sit at a house to be a nanny if there is no one at home. She said then do you want a housekeeper and I again said no you already asked me that. I don't want someone in my house 6 hours a day paying them to do nothing because the kids are in school. I told her this has been a disaster and the applicants are not professional like they say that they find for your family. I told Courtney not to charge my card because they didn't do as promised and she said she is still charging it and charged $500. I not only didn't have a nanny to help me through the summer and the kids had to spend the summer alone but she also took $500 on top of the other fee she took. They completely stole from me and lied about their nannies. WORST experience and please do not use them because your children are not safe with nannies that come from this "agency". We hired a one day Nanny today to care for my sick kindergartner since both my husband and I couldn't miss work. The nanny we were matched with (Nicole) was awesome!!! Not only did my son feel comfortable with her, she helped with homework, played board games and Legos as well as helping with kid laundry and dishes. Was going to write long review but here is the long story short. Scheduled a caregiver through Bright Horizons weeks in advance. Crunch Care never picked up the phones or responded to emails. caregiver never called us either. After multiple failed attempts by myself and Bright Horizons to reach someone, we had to cancel the reservation 2 days before the scheduled date. could not trust someone to watch my kids if the company or the care giver can't provide customer service. They sent over miss bacon to baby sit my 6 year old...the entire reason why we hired a baby sitter was that my wife worked grave yard and would be sleeping when the sitter was at our home...tell me why did she walk upstairs wake up my wife 3 times for wifi password, utterly ridiculous and tasteless...I have 24 hours surveillance cameras and miss bacon was trying to hide from view and constantly on her phone and ignored my daughter...miss bacon sat on our couch and was blowing her nose constantly and was not wearing a mask....I had a babysitter miss xyler yesterday and she was amazing but this one today miss bacon, should be removed from being deemed a responsible person especially when left in charge of children and babysitting...she did not prepare anything for my daughter to eat and when I got home she told me that my daughter did not want to eat, something that was very strange to hear...Because of miss bacon, I fear that my house has been contaminated because she did not follow any health and safety protocols to protect my daughter and the household especially when a virus like covid is so contagious...please as a parent don't allow this person to baby sit another child....this is the worst experience I have ever had with anyone..miss bacon is unfit to babysit and lacks responsibility and the ability to engage a child and also lacks serverely basic hygiene especially when we are in a pandamic..she not only put my daughter and wife at risk but my entire house hold... read more

When looking for someone to care for your child or children you want to feel that that person is on the same page as you are. If the person running the organization is not a warm, caring,engaging personality what are the chances your nanny will be? In one exchange with Stacie I had the most unexpected, unpleasant experience possible. I could never in any situation reccommend dealing with her. As they say, it all starts at the top. I applied for a nanny position that was posted on Care.com by Crunch Care the next day I called attempting to ask a question. No one ever answered the phone nor did anyone ever call me back regarding my questions; it has been 2 weeks. I did however, have a recruiter call me a few days later regarding my application. Sadly, I was upstairs in my home and did not hear the phone ring. When I called the recruiter back she of course did not answer, I left a message. I have attempted to call back several times and can never get anyone to answer the phone nor return my calls. Additionally, I e-mailed an entire resume packet directly to the e-mail listed on Crunch Care's website and still haven't heard back from anyone. I am well qualified with over 10 years experience working with newborns -children 15 years of age including those with special needs. I have references, letter of recommendations, CPR/first aid certification and a state license that required me to have a live-scan fingerprinting done. I am appalled that I could not even get a call from the recruiter at least letting me know that the position I applied for was filled or that they received my resume and are reviewing it. Nor did I even get a call or e-mail to do any kind of an interview whether that was in-person or just a phone interview. Parents paying for a service from Crunch Care need to know that Crunch Care is not providing the best service they can. When the staff at Crunch Care is not even caring enough to call and talk to applicants to even see if they are a good fit for their paying customers something is wrong. If I was a paying customer I would want to have a selection of the best people to care for my children. I believe I saw another review where the owner Stacie responded and told the person they should have called and not sent and e-mail to receive better service. Well...maybe they did call as I did and could ever get someone to respond who knows? Regardless of how someone tried to contact a business the communication should always be professional. As an owner of a company if you can see that a conversation through e-mail is not going well than pick up the phone and say I just wanted to call to talk personally as e-mailing can sometimes be taken out of context. However, in my case I could not even get someone to answer me via phone or e-mail. Personally, from my experience with the lack of response, I do not believe Crunch Care is as "professional" as they claim to be.I would never recommend this companies service to anyone. Working through backup care, we had care scheduled with crunch care for our three year old daughter. The provider didn't show up at the scheduled time. Calling crunch, there was no response. Crunch Care has been a great find for me and my family. After having my second child, they helped me find an experienced, professional , caring nanny who is now very much a part of our family. I was so impressed with Crunch Care! I used them when my second baby was born via C-Section and I needed help taking care of my 17 month old. I had some specific requirements regarding who I wanted to help me and Crunch Care found that person - within 2 days! They were also able to locate some last minute help at short notice when we had a new baby though we ended up not using her. While visiting San Diego with my daughter and three year old grandson we decided to have some girl time and needed someone to take care of my grandson. I wanted to replace my existing nanny because I wanted a nanny who would be willing to perform light household chores while my one year old was sleeping 2-4 hours at time (we have a housekeeper who comes to our home to perform heavy cleaning). My current nanny was not willing to do so. What made this decision difficult was that my current nanny had a great relationship with my one year old son, whom she had cared for since he was 8 weeks old. However, as he was taking longer and longer naps, I felt as if she should be utilizing this paid time with light household duties. On the other hand, I was concerned about the effect on my son of changing the nanny at this age. He really enjoyed being with her. Upon the recommendation of two good friends, I decided to interview CrunchCare. I spoke with Stacie, the founder, at great length over the telephone. She explained her philosophy of nanny care, and educated me on the expected duties of a nanny. I realized she was right in that I would come home from a full day of work and despite being exhausted, I would perform chores which could have been completed by my nanny before I arrived home. I also expressed to Stacie my bigger concern of how the change in nannies would affect my son. Based upon her experience, Stacie felt that most children make the transition seamlessly. Stacie was able to schedule a number of nannies for my husband and me to interview. In addition, Stacie had already informed the nannies of our wants/needs and what we expect from them. The first nanny we interviewed was excellent. The second nanny was also excellent! Each nanny we interviewed was excellent. We would have been happy with any of the nannies Stacie provided - we could not believe it. It reached a point that we asked Stacie to stop scheduling nanny interviews because we had reached a point that we were comparing one excellent nanny to another excellent nanny. The decision process was very challenging because we were starting to compare the most minute details of one nanny to another nanny in an effort to find a discerning quality that would aid us in making the best decision. Throughout this process, Stacie was very supportive. She would not make the decision for us; rather, she would guide us in helping us think through our decision making. We finally chose our nanny. She is fantastic! Our son bonded with her in 4 hours, which was surprising because he was going through a period of stranger anxiety at this time. Our new nanny is so warm to our son, and to us. She is personable and has a generous nature. She enjoys laughing and being silly with our son. She is also very eager to perform light household duties. She even offers to do household activities which we did not request. We emphasize to our new nanny that her first priority is our son, that is, if he happens to nap for only 45 minutes, then we do not expect household duties to be completed. She understands this balance. Stacie has been in communication with us to inquire, and ensure, that we are happy with our new nanny.
