They seem to be pretty good on price, too, they use the same neon tags / screaming prices strategy as JB Hi-Fi, it's all a little overwhelming, especially if you're already sick and are having a hard tome making decisions. If you don't already have epilepsy, you may after coming in here. The security really is a little OTT, and I'm not a man that uses a hackneyed phrase like OTT lightly. We get it, you've got a job to do, but I'm carrying a see-through shopping bag with oranges in it, do you really have to root around in there like a pig looking for truffles? I mean, probably not. They chemists at the back are great at asking if you want the generic version of a prescription medicine, which is usually quite a bit cheaper than the brand name which is really great consumer-friendly practice.

He said he's just doing his job. I asked why everyone else, none of whom he followed, were walking or with the other security guard not "doing his job." I will take my business elsewhere. This is Sydney, not backwater Alabama. The manager completely excused it, saying they do "random" checks on some customers and that I just happened to be in his path for patrolling the shop. Because the path from orthotics to hair products to tampons... totally rational. Particularly hovering at each of these sections for the duration of my stop. This is a horrible, humiliating experience that I won't soon forget. Also amazing to see the company pawn the question off on security company who responded with a standard non-apology and said that while serious, I have complained without proof. If you are brown, do go to the shop with a camera, witnesses and affidavits. Of course, checking their own security footage or asking their staff was out of the question. Or perhaps not. I asked them to do this, cc:Ed chemist warehouse and have yet to receive a response or acknowledgement. The discount chain in Gordon it is! Walked by store and the SS officer is still there so beware if you're shopping while black.

They look mercifully well stocked, and walking in around 7:30pm on a Friday night, the staff were both bright and attentive. The reason the Crows Nest Day Night Chemist suits is their 7 days per week late night opening hours. The pharmacists as well as pharmacy assistance are really knowledgeable and helpful. The chemist has never been out of stock of my regular prescription medications. Secondly they also have a huge range of groovy chemist consumer items that in the past have saved me when forgetting Mothers Day or birthdays. Their bargain bin at the exit is a cool way to picking up that awesome pill box holder, branded toothpaste, wacky coloured socks, beanies and scarves. They also sell a delicious array of chocolate and some soft drinks including sport drinks. It's a veritable consumers pop culture smorgasbord of the weird and wonderful as well as providing you with the medications to keep you alive and friendly customer service that kicks arse of other similar establishments. They do not have an espresso machine which is great because I'm actually sick and tired of multiple businesses buying into the coffee trade. Reason being their coffee (in my experience) is amateurish leaving me bitter and twisted.

They also advertise that many prescriptions can be filled at a discount up to 50%. The workers were very kind to help me find body soap, which was hard to find on my own amongst the unorganized aisles and disorienting multicolored discount tags. It is marketed as a wholesale pharmacy, and some items if on sale are definitely cheaper than in the supermarkets or other pharmacies. I was going there for this exact reason, I buy Nutraplus moisturiser (lots of it) and it is wholesale around $27. This place was selling it for this price for a while, but then jacked it up to over $32. I can buy online for cheaper, so that's what I am doing, but I would prefer to buy locally and support local business where possible. Anyway, the whole sale price has not increased online so I don't know why these guys are selling it for so much. That aside, there is a GP in the back of the shop, which is really handy if you need to see someone about a minor ailment and then you are straight in the pharmacy to fill the prescription.
