The concrete and steel structure means it's very sturdy (and not going to have leaky home issues if you're looking to buy) and also keeps the noise down between apartments. I've lived here over a year and only had one party go down so it's a respectful, quiet block of 40 apartments and there have been more owner occupiers move in this year. The body Corp is very well managed and issues are tended to very quickly. The apartments are all two bedroom and the west facing apartments (best side) have two bathrooms, the east have one and a slightly larger balcony. Most apartments come with one car park but there is plenty of street parking for visitors or more cars. The west facing apartments have great views out to the Waitakere's and the afternoon sun of course. It's a great place to live and having Kingsland only a minute away makes it even better - for both dining, transport and Eden Park options.

This retirement village is centrally located in Avondale. It's close to shops, buses and is a two…read moreminute walk to Avondale train station. There's also a local Doctors Surgery. My mother lived there for a little under 10 years and she always felt safe and secure. It's a gated community and the residents look out for one another. The fee for the underground and outdoor car parks is much cheaper than larger retirement villages. If you don't want to cook for yourself, meals can be provided for a small cost. My mother lived on the top floor, which she particularly enjoyed, and each apartment has its own balcony. Once a week the manager takes some residents out in the van to the local mall which is helpful to many who no longer drive. Many residents socialise and play games in the indoor and outdoor spaces. If you don't want to spend a massive amount of money on a retirement village but you do want similar quality and perks to many others out there, then I highly recommend Cosmopolitan Retirement Village.
