This place charges $12,000 a year for a membership with access to the golf course while paying their golf course maintenance staff only $12 an hour. The annual cost of membership is more than half of what an employee makes after taxes! Do not support this place until they pay staff fairly. They also spent $2 million to renovate the golf course in 2024. All that extra money and none for the employees. read more

Service is good but food is horrible, 2nd time we've tried this place and won't be back. Over cooked and too much salt on everything. You would think for a country club that the food would be good for the price you have to spend. Good for drinks and nice view of the golf course. read more

Beautiful setting for a wedding ceremony, which the weather was perfect and so was everything that followed. Staff was very friendly and helpful the villa was great very spacious complete with a living area and kitchenette, microwave, coffee maker, full size refrigerator,All utensils were included. 2 queen beds very comfortable, tv in bed room and tv in living room. Bathroom had a nice skylight and hairdryer with bathroom amenities. Just a pleasant experience for the wedding and perfect place to stay. read more

Crown Colony is the 2nd worse course I've ever played. Won't be caught Dead back on it. Sooooo wet Should be closed, but they robbed me, didn't say a word. When we left, they Thanked us for coming. When told course should be closed, someone told us it was drier than in two months. Don't respect their own course. DON'T PLAY HERE. read more

Crown colony offers a great experience. They have several different facilities to utilize such as, the pool with pool side service from the grill, a fitness center, tennis courts, buffet and catering facilities, a grill, and good pro shop and of course one of the most challenging courses in Texas. Both golf and tennis lessons are availible. You can also stay at their villas for a really decent rate. These are apartment like rooms. The staff is friendly and will take care of your needs. Lin Lent the GM works tirelessly to make sure his clients are happy and has a great eye for detail. Angie the banquet manager takes a hands on approach and personally ensures the job gets done right. Augustin Rivera the Executive Chef makes sure the food is of high quality and the displays are attractive. Steve the head ground keeper is maticulas about the care if the course and it shows in the high quality of play. Since this is a country club you need to contact them about membership and the different levels availible to fit your budget. They host several local service groups there weekly so you may find yourself there anyway. read more

Best country club in East Texas. The golf course track is better than any other club in the area.

Stayed in the villas on the golf course. They were okay. A/C worked which is great unlike hotels with those wall units that never seem to work. I had a lot of issues with the how dirty everything was. Floor were nasty my feet where black anytime I walked through. Cobwebs amd dust everywhere. The beds felt like I was sleeping on bricks. I think the only thing that was the most clean was the fridge. I hope for the next person it will be a lot cleaner. But staff was very friendly. read more
