Another breakfast sandwich that did not disappoint! The gentlemen at the front was very kind and informative. Took aboit 5 minutes to get our drinks and another 10 minutes for our food on a random monday around 11. Great flavors and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. Only thing that was annoying with a croissant in general is the fly pieces of buttery flakes everywhere but always worth it. The Cafe has some sitting inside but we choose to sit outside and enjoy the weather and people watching (car watching is also an option here). There were about 6 tables so plenty of space. I also got the early grey latte in a large that Starbucks can never get right for whatever reason but they made it perfectly! My husband got the green berets and said it was delicious but not my cup of tea since they had banana in it. Will be adding to our list of places to keep on rotation during our next trip back! read more

Stumbled across this place on our walk to the pier. Came here for lunch and ordered the chicken salad and extra avocado sandwich - both were delicious! For coffee we got the peanut butter latte and an americano. First I ordered the peanut butter latte iced, but that was a mistake because the peanut butter didn't melt into the coffee and I was basically drinking peanut butter. So I reordered it hot - much better!! The prices are really reasonable for SF and the portion sizes are huge! Staff was super friendly as well which is always a plus. It's a small place but we snagged a spot by the window and it was a great spot to enjoy our coffee and food. They also serve cheap booze and wine and beer if you're in the mood for a cocktail! I wanted to love it here. The reviews had me so excited for flaky croissants and an extraordinary breakfast sammie, and I was stoked to get a pretty little cortado... but it just wasn't in the cards. I arrived before 8a and they were out of croissants. No croissant for me. No breakfast sandwich. Giant sad face. So, I opted for the raisin swirl since at other places it usually uses the same dough and has a similar texture save the raisins. Buttery, delicious, but exactly none of the crunch or flake I was hoping for. And, I was so excited to get outside and see how my cortado turned out. No art. No contrast. And although there was some foam, it was mediocre. Service was super nice, they were really pleasant, and the flavor of the swirl was great, but everything else was super disappointing. read more

Foodgasim!!! I love this Ma and Pa shop. The owners opened this shop to prove that a gourmet meal didn't need to cost a fortune. They proved this and amazed my cousin and I's mouth!!! My cousin is gluten free: It's hard for her to find cute Ma and Pa joints that offer all the goodies. But here, she found their famous English muffin breakfast sandwich gluten free! She was so obsessed, she ordered to go. She said the bread was amazing and that usually the gluten free bread is "teeny weeny". She said her American was super strong, just the way she likes it! I ordered a chai tea latte that was on point, all the right flavors to make my mouth water. I have been absolutely trolling the streets of Sf from coffee shop to coffee shop and through exploration wandered upon this gem. My new found favorite drink us the French Lavender latte as you get an immensely flavorful coffee that is not to powerfully sweet due to the subtle lavender taste that brings such a balance. I get it both hot and iced (no preference although the iced goes down too fast). I've only heard good things about tiger food as well so I'll have to come back for a sandwich soon. read more

I can't recommend this tiny jewel of a cafe more highly. I only discovered it a few months ago and I often find myself at home craving one of their delicious Panini sandwiches. Everything I've ever ordered here is delicious and made with care. The staff is friendly and obviously takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. My favorites, so far are the rosemary chicken with bacon sandwich and the prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich. But I have no doubt that everything else on the menu will be delicious. All of the ingredients are fresh, and the chicken is incredibly tender and juicy. You can't go wrong. read more

Cheap piece of wheat bread, sliced avocado, and some sauce(maybe lemon vinaigrette?). This could be elevated so easily. Get some decent bread, mash the avocado, spread it on, some salt and pepper on top and I'd be happy. But 5$ for this was sad. read more

This place rocks. Adorable tiny spot with amazing gluten free options and delicious drinks. The staff is SO sweet and helpful and they're working so hard in there you can tell. Even during a rush you feel listened to and their prices aren't bad for what you're getting. Truly delicious sandwiches and I like the peanut butter mocha. Only note I would add is stirring the peanut butter a bit more in the cup. I got a clump of it in my last sip once not big deal though. On my recent trip to SF, our hotel was located a short walk away from Crostini & Java. My sister and I liked the place so much that we ate here 3 days out of the 5 we were in the city. The lox bagel and the ultimate breakfast sandwich were great. They also had a nice selection of hot teas and my sister enjoyed their matcha latte. The space is on the small side but they did have ample seating, both indoor and outdoor. I felt the staff were also attentive and efficient. I would definitely recommend. read more

The latte was good (a little plain, I couldn't really taste too much cinnamon or ginger but it still tasted great). This is a pretty reasonable priced place! I did feel as though customer service was a little rude- when I called, the person over the phone was rushed and didn't seem like she wanted to answer my questions. I also did ask if the breakfast sandwich could be made a little sooner and her response was "well it needs to cook in the oven doesn't it" & in my opinion there is no reason to be that passive aggressive. read more

Such a great little spot! I absolutely love this place. You see a lot of these little coffee and sandwich corner shops in the city and they all feel very special, but this one is serving exceptional food and coffee. For, WAIT FOR IT, REASONABLE PRICES. The sandwiches are about $10 flat, a rarity anywhere in the bay let alone the city. They also offer a stamp card which has slots for both coffee and sandwiches and your 10th is free!
