I'm 41, I've had my share of dental experiences over the years, most good to great. I'm also familiar with orthodontics and terminology, I like to understand what is being explained to me, allows for a better experience between myself and dental staff. So when I go in two weeks ago for a crown, I was told incorrectly over the phone what I was to expect for the appt., being told one day for the procedure, and then in person that it would be a two visit process. The doctor, I assume, never introduced herself, asked me and hour later after I was in the room waiting, "are you ready to get this party started?" She then explains I'm going to get a "tree stump," IOWs, a post, I know this from a previous tooth. Tells me I'm going to have a plastic cap for 3 weeks while the crown is being made, and it will be mailed to me, not the office, for the second visit. Red flags galore, over an hour late in seeing I. The room, unprofessional interaction, godawful office space, didn't look remotely current with the equip. Staff coming in and out rummaging for supplies as I waited. No apology for being late. Officer manager quotes me 4 weeks until the second visit, contradicting whomever spoke to me prior. Spider sense, gut feeling, fight or flight, I said no thanks, and left. I went to a different dentist that is out of network and it was well worth the money. Don't skimp just because the dentist is covered by your insurance. Go with who's great, not sure hat obviously felt like to was going to be a horrible experience. read more

Unfortunately I have to give an update to my experience. I had a crown done last year and the temporary fell out all the time! Then when the actual crown was placed in, it came out after 2 months. I had another place fix it since we moved and since then, no issues. I also got billed months later because my insurance denied the procedure and they've done a terrible job trying to resolve it. It's been awful! It has literally been me calling my insurance every month for 5 months to see if Crossroads had resubmit the claim with additional explanation on why it was necessary. Each time I called Crossroads after to tell them to resubmit the claim. It took me threatening to get my friend in to speak on my behalf (since we moved I can't go in myself or I would have done so long ago) for them to finally resubmit the claim properly. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if I got scammed and it gets denied again as it probably was an unnecessary procedure! read more

I just went ahead and booked an appointment with another dentist because my experience with them just wasn't what I was expecting. I'll admit I should have read the reviews beforehand and primarily focuses on proximity to my home because I was having serious tooth pain. I was told my wisdom teeth were the reason for my pain even though the dentist never looked at the tooth (which was near the front) that the pain was actually coming from but I left that to the expert. The office seemed a bit disorganized and everybody was in a rush. Equipment had seen better days and at least two people came in looking for things. Got a referral to an oral surgeon who the dentist expressed I needed to call that day to start that process & I scheduled an appointment two days later to get a cavity filled that she noticed. Came back two days later to get the filling and again everybody is rushing and frazzled. Hygienist takes the numbing gel to prep me for the initial shot but she puts it on too early or the dentist is running late so of course it wore off. So I asked how long it was supposed to last and she put more on but she actually put it on in the wrong place both times. So I get the shot and pain shoots through my jaw. I jerk slightly and the dentist starts chuckling....not sure what's funny but let's do this do I can get out of here. As many times as I've had fillings done throughout my life I've never had pain like that. She waits 20 secs and asks if I'm numb, which I'm not, so she gives me another shot. Again....rushing. Dental hygienist proceeds to stab by gums with the suction straw throughout the process. So 10-15 minutes later I'm done and trying to schedule an appoint for a hygiene appointment. Yep next available is August. Whew...I book it even though I'm having second thoughts about how that is going to go based on these two visits. Meanwhile I'm reading the reviews for the oral surgeon the dentist referred me to and they were abysmal; not to mention they have pending lawsuits against their practice. So I called back asking if it were possible to be referred to a different oral surgeon. I was told I would get a call back the next day and that was weeks ago. A week later I call back again, can't get ahold of anyone and leave a message with my contact info. Radio silence. I called back again on all numbers to give them one more chance or to just cancel that cleaning appointment and can't get a soul. If this is what it's like for the two minor appointments that I had with them I can't imagine what they would be like with something major. I mean I should have known something was up when I saw their reminder emails had Crossroads misspelled. read more

My most recent visit was a positive one. I was seen in a timely manner and the hygienist who did my cleaning that day was amazing. She was very skillful, gentle and quite knowledgeable. Worst place ever, they billed my insurance for what was to be a free consultation. The saddest part was that the dentist refer me to another dentist cause she was not experienced with the work that I was needed on my mouth. I walked out with nothing being done, but I got billed. read more

I will be moving on from this practice. Informed the representative that I was in pain but earliest appointment was the next week. I made the appointment and dealt with the pain for days, almost one week. Three hours before my appointment I was informed that my doctor was not going to be in the whole week. Um they just found that out? I'm still in pain, really, all she could say was we can see if we can get you in "sometime" next week. Ok, hello, I'm in PAIN!!! I am surprised to hear about other patients' experiences here. I have been seeing Dr. Lanier regularly for about a year. I had always found the customer service to be A-1, from the front desk to the hygienist and Dr. Lanier herself. I had pain with a filling and they made an appointment to correct the issue the same day. I didn't give 5 stars because yes, there does tend to be quite a wait each time I have gone. read more

I have had too many problems with Dano. Once he was in a meeting well passed my appointment time. Another time he took what he called an emergency appointment in on my appointment time. I feel emergencies should be taken at the end of the day AFTER other scheduled appointments. The latest was a crown on a tooth (I waited 87 minutes passed my appointment time) that he made too high and it created pain and severe sensitivity to heat and cold for 12 weeks before I could get in for my regular appointment on September 30. I got a reminder text for the appointment on September 16. When I arrived on the 30th, I was told I was not scheduled. I'm told Dano is not there anymore, but I'm still not sure I want to continue with my dental care at Crossroads Dentistry. read more

I was glad to see that Dr. Lanier and her staff took extra care to ensure each patient was attended to individually, to ensure social distancing. Everything in the dental procedure room was sanitized and spotless. The hygienist was friendly and knowledgeable about her job and explained everything she would do during the appointment. So glad to have Sonya assigned for my cleaning.... As I was leaving the office I was approached by a lady looking for a new dentist...she wanted to know why I like this office. The service rendered was wonderful. The assistant was great and very informative. service was good, I was in and out within an hour.

I had been with crossroads for a year, so when my son had a crown fall out and a tooth exposed I called them. My son had to been seen else where over the years and they said it would be more than a month before they could see him. I went to cross roads and explained my son was 7 and needed a crown replaced. The receptionist was happy to help and got me an apt a few days later. When we got to the appointment, after exam and X-rays were complete we were shocked to be told the Crossroads is not a pediatrics dentistry and they did not have the capability to replace my sons crown. Why was this not communicated during the initial phone call, or the appointment confirmation call? Of course, the error falls on the paying customer. Who despite not being treated has to pay for an unnecessary exam and X-rays. My hope would have been that CrossRoads made their error correct by taking accountability for the miscommunication but unfortunately based on multiple reviews that is not a standard practice at CrossRoads. This place is "the gift that keeps on giving" but I'm not taking any of it. I posted back in June, 2018 just how bad they were at Denistry. The staff is poorly trained, marginally intelligent and has no idea what customer service is! Now I'm extending it to include bookkeeping and accounting which by all indications is just as bad if not worse than the rest of this band of misfits. A few days ago I received a letter from a collection agency claiming I owe them (Crossroads Dental) over $500. I was more than happy to explain to a representative that I made payments to a credit account that this Dental Office signed me up for. I forwarded documents to the Recovery Company showing monthly auto payments , copies of the original agreement and statements from the Bank financing the CareCredit card. I further contend that this is no accident. This crappy dishonest Dental business is trying to "double bill" me for payments! I also have Dental insurance which they also collected from back in April, 2018. I will be asking them to investigate the charges applied because it is highly likely they billed my Dental insurance for services I did not receive. I will be contacting the BBB as well. But "buyers beware "! This place is nothing short of a colossal waste of your time and money! read more

Worst customer service experience that i have had in a while. While the dentist herself and her back staff do a good job, you can't get by the rudeness and outright incompetence at the front desk. It takes only a moment to smile and LISTEN to your patients that are paying your salary. Office manager, Amy, thinks she has to right to talk down to her customers. Called me 20 minutes before my sons appointment to cancel-- got mad and hung up. We will NOT be back! read more

I'm not one who usually post on here but hoping to spare others. Our first and only visit left a lot to be desired. First front desk not very kind, second they forgot about us and we had waited over 2 hours, then hygienist tore my and my daughters gums. I had actual slits in my gums. Transferred us to new dental office and had to ask repeatedly to have our records transferred over. (X-rays) that you know the insurance doesn't cover but so often. I don't think it's too much to ask to be treated kindly. read more

The Dental Hygienist Marie is great but the quality of other dental work is lacking. I had 2 crowns put in Nov. 2015. They fell out a few times and were cemented back in and then one cracked. I switched dentists when the 3rd strike came. My dental insurance will only pay for crowns every 7 yrs. They should last more than 1 yr. Quality of the buildup and cementing is what is not lasting. My new dentist cemented one in that Crossroads created and it hasn't fallen out. Crowns are very expensive and dental insurance does not cover the full price. read more

Wish I had seen this earlier review and I would have definitely looked elsewhere. The Hygienist at this place is the best you can say about Crossroads Dental. The front desk staff leaves a lot to be desired. You can walk in the place and very rarely would you get a greeting. They are young, inexperienced, and in my opinion very unprofessional. I had one to use some religious exclamation to express her dissatisfaction at me asking a question. Didn't go over very well with me and I told her so. As for cracking dental work, I experienced that as well. Had a temporary bridge put in. A week later I felt this hard rock like particle in my mouth. It was a piece of my bridge. Suppose I had swallowed it? When I mentioned it on my return visit, the technician just laugh and said I should have called them! Really? It shouldn't have broken. I left my last appointment because after 30 minutes, I was not called back. The receptionist said they were having an emergency meeting! I decided to leave because the technician I used before came out, smiled at me but didn't say a word about my scheduled appointment! I feel as if I made a terrible decision in choosing this Dental Service. I have Delta Dental and used their website to find this place. At this point going forward, I'm not sure what to do. I still have this temporary bridge and is rescheduled for June 26. I plan to meet with the office manager and Chief of Services prior to that appointment to determine if I go through with this Clinic. read more

last week my husband and children went for their first appointment at Crossroads and this week I had my first appointment there. Hands down, this was the best experience I've had at a dental office. To start, the entire front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. Even while I was confirming everything with the gentleman helping me, Crystal (who handles the scheduling) confirmed my appointment with me without even having to ask my name. It felt like family. They knew the connection between my children, husband and I without it being a big mess like I've experienced previously at other dental offices. It was not a long wait at all before we were called back. The hygienist who assisted my children (4 & 5 years old) was very kind and explained everything first. When Dr. Lanier came in to see them she immediately comforted them by asking some questions and laughing with them. Upon them leaving, Crystal made sure to give the kids their goodie bags and talked with them a little before we left. It was great! During my visit, I had the hygienist, Breona. She was AMAZING! Very gentle and informative! Also seeing Dr. Lanier was great. Both remembered my family they had previously seen and asked about them. It was such a heart warming feeling. Very professional and friendly. I am from out of town and needed urgent dental care, they told me to come on in. Was seen quickly and treated. Very efficient and dental care was provided with care. No swelling, limited pain. Dentist used a technique that I didn't feel the needle stick while she deadened the site. Very clean and nice visit for a dentist's office, because I have fear of visiting the dentist. LOL read more
