One of my dear friends is a member of this church and she got married here this past September. I am from Tampa and I'll be 100% honest - I have not been to church in a long long time. Yet Pastor David was so welcoming and friendly that he made everyone in the wedding party feel like a part of the family. The church itself is very beautiful with modern seating (still pews) and they have great video equipment. In fact, you can live stream their services on Facebook! I often tune in because Pastor David is so real and preaches sermons that will not put you to sleep. For my friend's wedding, we were able to use rooms in the upstairs portion of the church to get ready and it was the perfect setup up for this bride to have her wedding. Our family and friends were able to stream it online which was awesome since we all live far apart. They have an awesome youth center that my friend Johanna is involved in and the congregation seems very close knit. Thank you for welcoming our group for Joh & Forrest's wedding New Covenant! It was a perfect day that we will never forget!

The messages from Pastor David and Pastor Patrick are always engaging, relatable and scripture based. It is evident this church loves God and People. At Hopewell Baptist Church you hear the Word of God preached in such a way that you leave with ways to apply the message to your life - no matter who you are or where you're at in your life's situation. I leave the service eagerly looking forward to the next Sunday. The children's and teen programs are awesome! The Awana's program gives parents the opportunity for their children to learn more of God in an exciting and challenging manner. There are numerous life groups for adults in a broad spectrum of interests. I personally love the Precepts for Life study.) There is care and support for the individual who is in a difficult situation. Needs are met here - physical, social and most importantly spiritual. My son and his friend was going to this church they are teenagers like all boy teenagers they act…read moreup sometimes. My sons friend had a knife not bothering anything they are just always on them for something. The preacher called me today and told me they were gonna suspend them for two weeks from church. Turning them away from Gods house for two weeks I have never read that in the Bible. What if something happens to those kids at the time they would have been in church some kind of accident or they could have got saved one of those church days. My son didn't even have the knife but the other child didn't have it out. I think this was two extreme the preacher should teach the boys this is not something you should bring to church. Instead suspend them I think there needs to be a new preacher at this church cause this is not the first crazy thing he has done as a pastor. They tried to baptize my son without telling me and he had not been saved!
