Bill and Staci Russell have employed role models in their own image to train us into "fit" human beings with a desire to "press on" for more. "Caring", "professional", "witty", are words which come to mind as I think of all of the trainers. Well-timed classes which run in a smooth and orderly fashion are fun with challenges which are encouraged to take by these words, "Do what you can". I have done more than I ever thought possible; and, all of it helps me to maintain my busy "run-around" lifestyle of homemaking, yardwork (for a home and a cottage) to raising grandchildren in a parttime but weekly and regular fashion and volunteering. Running, jump-roping, skipping, rope-climbing, rowing, long-jumping and monkey bars are my joys once again. Youth was the last time I enjoyed all of those activities. And, now, I can, also, do "THE TIRE", box-jumps, wall ball shots, squats, deadlifts and more with the barbells, dumbbell thrusts and other exercises with dumbbells, wallball slams, burpees and.....I lost count (but that's normal in Crossfit). I started CrossFit Cleveland about three months ago and it was my first real experience with group workouts. I have to say that I have fallen in love with the environment and the community at CrossFit Cleveland, so much so that now my daughter has signed up as well! Bill and Staci immediately made me feel right at home. They have both continued to encourage and push me to be the best I can, teaching me good form, proper movements, and how to be a part of a team. Stacy is also fantastic with the kids, focusing on not only having fun in class but also what it means to be a part of a team. I think both Staci and Bill really understand that exercise, for children, translates to improved self confidence and academic performance. With the COVID19 issues, the gym had to close its doors due to the Governor orders, but that hasn't stopped Bill and Staci from keeping the members together by utilizing video classes. They are innovative with using whatever equipment or home supplies the clients have to create workouts of the day (WOD) for us at home. I love the fact that we can call in to get assistance with our workout needs and nutritional guidelines. With the recent addition of instructor Courtney and several other knowledgeable instructors, our workouts are tough, but fun. Thanks CrossFit Cleveland for helping me be better every day! If you don't know what Crossfit is at all...you have to check it out!. I had been doing Crossfit on my own for about a year and a half and got into great shape. Then, I joined Crossfit Cleveland and actually started to learn good technique. Bill, who runs the gym, has more experience with Crossfit than anyone else in the area...by far! Coaches and members here are encouraging, supportive and most importantly, friendly. The coaches offer tips and suggestions before and during each workout and keep close eye on members to make sure form and technique stay strong.
