I have been attending S&S Crossfit since April of 2013 and am so happy with my choice. I am never judged for my look or my crossfit abilities but am pushed to keep trying and give it 100%. The coaches are very friendly, knowledgeable and will always keep you safe. They also remember your name and greet you as if you're one of their own members. The culture of this box is great. Very warm, encouraging, and upbeat. The members introduce themselves, make an effort to get to know you, cheer you on, and are super nice. It's also maintained very well and super clean! The workouts are great. They encourage mobility with ROMWOD's every Wednesday, camaraderie with PartnerWOD's, and strength training with barbell driven movements in metcons. The 9:30, 10:30 classes definitely made you hate the place! You had moms laughing at the people who were not in shape and you were judge during the class. Community is a huge part of CrossFit, but they took it a step further and turned it into a Family. They have smaller classes which allowed the coach to actually help me with my form. Yes, I would recommend this gym…read more Pros: 24-hours Friendly staff Knowledgeable staff (trainers, not kids who wanna-be trainers) Good music; top-40 Juice bar; protein drinks, etc. Clean bathrooms You can wear what you want; not judged like Planet Fitness who tells you what you can wear No known thefts from lockers; folks leave their wallets and phones in cubicles, no problem Ample parking Cons: Gym floor & equipment needs better daily cleaning Staff needs to hourly "pick-up" and straighten-up gym More folks are unnecessarily carrying gym bags onto floor (getting in way); this should be addressed/prohibited More folks are sitting on equipment using cellphone; this should be addressed/prohibited Some older equipment, but everything you need (and more) and operational (rare down-time) In summer, gym can get hot/warm during workout Most of the "Cons" are present at all gyms in city, but Rock's could solidify their spot at the top by addressing them.
