I ordered a delivery of Diesel for my parents home heating system in Lewiston and it was supposed to be delivered in February 2019. We had measured the fuel tank level and knew how much was in it. The house was sitting empty with the two monitors set to 50 degrees. We arrived about 3-4 weeks after the delivery was supposed to have happened and the fuel tank was at almost the exact same level as before. When I contacted Cross to ask about the delivery, they stated that they made it. There's NO WAY. Their response was that it had been unseasonably cold. With the monitors set at 50 degrees, there's no way we burned 195 gallons in a month. Even speaking to Jimm Cross (an owner) via e-mail, he would not consider that the delivery didn't happen. If we could give no stars that would be more accurate description of the customer service we received from these people. We live 70 miles away in Hayfork and called a week before running out of fuel. At which time they told my roommate they would put it out to dispatch then they call back a few days later and tell us that the guy will be in town 3 days from then on Monday. So Monday comes and goes and nobody shows up and so we call again and speak to the same rude receptionist that always answers the phone and my roommate tells her no one showed up and she tells her that the fuel truck ran out of fuel supply and that they wont make it back up in our area until Friday which is not until the end of the week ......so my roommate explains that we are completely out of heat, and she responds with " well someone will be out on Friday " .....I dont know if its due to the fact that HEAP is covering part of the payment for our fuel so maybe that is why we are receiving this kind of customer service or if these people treat everyone like this but all I can say is if I could find another company to go through trust me we would in a heartbeat......this isnt the way to treat customers that rely on fuel to stay warm......and have no other means of getting fuel....so I guess they can treat you anyway they want but that doesnt make it right what so ever. So until Friday I suppose we just put some extra jackets on my disabled daughter, myself & roommate to stay warm. read more
