I think it's was a great choice. There's nothing like starting your day eating by the ocean. The staff left something to be desired, they don't really greet you or make you feel welcome (I went twice and felt this way both times) I tried their banana walnut bread and wasn't impressed there either. We also came for lunch and their quesadilla was good, but I wish they'd include sour cream... while my husband ordered a salad which they can't fit in a to go box so they give you a smaller portion and charge you less, but he asked for extra chicken and got 3 veryyyyyy thin slices. Likely won't return but the view was worth a sit and sip.

Good seafood, amazing calamari & prawns!! We came here and…read moreordered a seafood platter on the recommendation of our B&B hosts. It was extremely good value with a great selection of cold and hot seafood. We weren't particularly impressed by the oysters - they natural oysters were a little small and the oysters Kilpatrick were smothered in a strange tasting sauce mixed with cheap commercial bacon cubes. The best things on the platter were the calamari and the prawns. Instead of ordering a platter we'd probably just order that next time. Our friend ordered the eye fillet medium rare - and it looked well done to me. Service was a little slow and slightly haphazard - we only received our meals one hour from the time that we arrived at the restaurant! But the staff were friendly and BYO is a plus!

Oysters for entree were fresh and still stuck to shell which is perfect. We shared the seafood platter for two. Only $80 (add whiting for $8) we could hardly eat it all. Had a lot of options and plenty generous, 10 big fresh prawns, salmon, oysters natural and kilpatrick, massive pieces of calamari, 3 bugs halved/mor bay, chips and fresh salad/fruit. Others had the barramundi special! Now this is the meal to get if not sharing. Amazing! Dtraks are cooked perfect too! Drinks are cheap...$4.50 tap beers, $13 cocktails. Authentic Japanese food. Well priced.

Wow! This place has…read morea ton of potential, giving it 5 stars with the preface that it has places where it can improve. Meal Time: Lunch ~1:30pm Meals Tried: Chicken Katsu Curry (a Japanese style curry with crunchy breaded and fried chicken) BBQ Eel Nigiri Salmon Nigiri Tuna Nigiri Tamago Nigiri (a Japanese style semi sweet folded omelet served on top of a bed of rice in Nigiri style) Quality of ingredients: Excellent, the fish was very tender, fresh, and flavorful. The eel was extremely tender and slightly crispy from cooking (best BBQ eel I have had). The Chicken was labeled as free range and I believe them, great quality and cooked very very well. The rice was flavorful and pleasing. Quality of cooking: Great, the curry was very well done and a generous portion without loosing to much quality. Personally a smaller portion would be fine but the locals may have a different taste. The sushi was very good, well served and made. The Tamago was super tasty, loved it. The mayonnaise was very airy and mild, may be made in house, not sure. Critique: The chefs could find room for improvement in their sushi rice. It was not warm when served and could have been packed looser, the rice itself has potential but I would have been blown away instead of just impressed if the sushi was served on a finger warm, looser bed of rice. Readers do not be swayed by this critique you will love the place, and I am certain they will only improve with love :) Owners: Looked to be family owned husband-wife-daughter combo but I could be very wrong, when I was there the two women were in the back cooking up their magic while the man served tables (all very friendly). Experience: 9/10 super great would recommend, I am just traveling through so I am not sure I will ever be back but if I do find myself in the area again Miko sushi will be one of my first stops :) Price: As these things go it was very affordable, plenty of belly filling options and if your a sushi lover you wont be disappointing either. (could spend $20 if sushi buff, $14 if you just want to eat a delicious meal) Oh and its BYOB (beer spirits free ,2$ for wine, awesome!)

The only kind of "Bulli" I like! (Ha ha ha) while passing through Noosa on our way toward Brisbane,…read moreI was dying for some lunch - preferably something that wasn't heavy and greasy like the fish and chips I'd been ingesting on the regular. I found Bulli with a Google search and after browsing a couple of menu options decided to go for it. Nestled off the main road facing the park and beach access, Bulli stood out with its industrial architecture with pops of color from the cute sidewalk table decor. The menu is small but straightforward - breakfast was up on a chalkboard and lunch items were set up in the refrigerated display case. I chose a roasted vegetable toastie, my husband picked a breakfast toastie with egg, bacon & cheese, a chorizo tart to share, and we also asked for a small salad with a small serving of each of the 3 salads on display to be able to sample each one. For some liquid caffeine we ordered a short black. Both toasties were excellent. Fresh ingredients, warmed through and toasted to perfection. The chorizo tart was different than I had expected - it was similar to a slice of quiche with lots of eggs. The chorizo was more similar to a sausage than the crumbly, greasy chorizo we're used to at home, but it was tasty nonetheless. The 3 salad "samples" arrived in separate bowls - not sure if it was a mistake but the portions were way bigger than expected so we were definitely feasting well for under $40! The short black my husband ordered was divine. For all the Americans reading this who don't know what I'm talking about, a short black is essentially just a shot of espresso. It came in a tiny mug and the shot itself was complex, rich and creamy. Definitely go out of your way and visit Bulli if you're near Noosa! Get a takeaway coffee, go across the street and hoof it down to the beach when you're done eating. Perfect spot!

The food has always been very fresh and flavoursome, theres always a couple of new special items. The coffee is always great - they serve Segafredo, they make the perfect Piccolo Lattes. Its casual dining - you order breaky at the counter, and at dinner they will take your order at the table. Pizza crusts are thin and toppings are tasty but not overloaded. The PPPP pizza is usually my pick, if not one of the specials. Family's are well looked after - its across the road from a popular local park with swings/sides etc for the kids. Its BYO - and very laid back - very appropriate for the area. The decor is sparse and the food and coffee does all the talking. Pricing is very fair - meal sizes are right. It can be crazy busy on the Long weekends and Mothers Day/Fathers Day etc - best to get in early, that said, you can always have a coffee while you wait for a table. Relax and enjoy...

Have been back here a few times now since the unfortunate closure of Stillwater, and the overall…read morequality has been consistently improving. They've dialed back the use of mayo and improved their flavor balances significantly. The Super Duper roll is quite tasty. The fresh fish selection is still somewhat limited, though all of it tasted very fresh and they do have Kingfish to round out the standard offerings of Ahi and Salmon. Which is one better than most of the local sushi places. While Sakana is still not as good as Stillwater was, it's now probably the best local option for sushi on the Sunshine Coast. Wasabi up in Noosa is technically better, though of course it will cost you a small fortune to dine there. Sakana offers much more reasonable pricing, generous portions (the rolls are still quite large, but now that the quality has picked up I consider that a positive), and solid flavors. Worth a visit, or two.
