Sent me way at 8.30 am because the post office section didn't open until 9am. Bare in mind there was no one else in the shop. Went back at 9.am so he could put my parcel onto a shelf. As a keen fisherman and one of the good guys who respects his surroundings my husband nipped in to the Post Office. The way he was treated was nothing short of disgusting. He is a normal Scottish guy from Bathgate and because of this he was treated with no respect by a lady called Frances. He was accused of poaching (he always buys a permit). When he tried to explain why he was not buying a permit at the time (legit reason as needed to see if he could fish as water was so high) was treated with utter contempt and threatened with the police. Small places like this have to remember it is us Scottish people who keep them going in the winter when all the americans and english are gone. Warm Scottish welcome...I think not!

I often find myself here to post paperwork during working hours. I've always found the staff to be…read morepleasant and when it's that bit busier, there's no extended wait time as staff work speedily through the queue. The post office is located within a Nisa shop, which is perfect for a quick milk run but not really much more, considering just how close the Asda store is, and it's considerably cheaper there and they've a much better selection. There's also a mini bakery too, which is all made by the Stephen's bakery, I'm sure. That's a nice little touch. - Post then pudding for the sweet-toothed among us! I've not been particularly blown away by the post office, but I'm here regularly and it does all I need to, hence the solid three stars.

This store sells newspapers and has a café that is seasonal.
