Our family cannot even just go and spend time with him without having to deal with unnecessary issues. Please do not put any important items at your loved ones gravesite....it will disappear, you may find it in the pile of stuff at the office that they have decided they didn't want out there.....it may not be. If something goes missing they absolutely don't care.They will make sure you receive a paper with so many rules that seem to only be enforced to certain individuals. Grass is not kept up, and if it rains u may find ur loved one under water. 2 months ago the worst continues...they have once again thrown our personal items away. Told us we cannot have things that are obviously on other headstones. Not to mention the bench that marks my beloved's resting place is broken. The entire seat just on the ground. Of course we received all kinds of excuses as to why, but it was supposed to be fixed 2 months ago.... it is still not fixed. Crawfish holes dug all around his gravesite. NO MATTER WHAT THE I SSUE IS....it will only be blamed on u and your family. We had such a hard time getting the money together for him to be laid ro rest....now we have to consider moving him....how...or let them continue to have no compassion for the deceased or there loved ones .But they sure do want the money for the plot. I have called so many times in the past two years expressing my concern but doesn't make a difference. We do our own work to make sure we can see our families & others names etc. Today I went out to see my family and I had to leave because it was horrible and the hands vase that's been there for two years was gone and it was a mess. Will go back tomorrow with help to clean it up. Very sad we go there to see our family members and then have to deal with this every single time. Our family opted for a budget friendly "Direct Cremation" with no frills as my mother in law lived on a tight month to month budget and didn't really have an estate of any value to help pay for funeral expenses. Sadly so many funeral homes are now owned by one big corporation and they try to upsell you for everything whether you need it or not. Anna Blackwell was so nice and helpful from the time I first called her to our meeting to take care of the expenses and the final time when I picked up the ashes. She even gave me a big hug as I was ready to leave, what a thoughtful kind person. In order to get the special low price offered you will have to pay by cash or check as credit cards cost them more to process but that was ok with us. They might take other forms of payment for more expensive services offered.
